You're just paranoid This is just starting to get really good, I think it'll run for another 3-4 volumes at least.

please god no... its really interesting... why kill a flower thats nearing bloom?
Do you really want the series to continue? I really don't see any of your fears coming. That is of course if the ratings in the manga are not good. Isn't it better to milk more of the story than giving an abrupt ending. Take for example, Naruto's endless fillers in anime and Eva's franchise. As long as the story sells and the author wants to continue, it will continue.
You should stop fearing that it will end. Honestly, you're jinxing it.

I hope the series should end around 50 chapters. It is perfect for a monthly manga.

I believe you are overreacting. We've only seen chapter 15, which is all the suspense without the buildup. Allow me to offer something more optimistic.

The Monthly Comic Alive editorial blog mentioned the next tankobon volume of Iris Zero, which is to be released Jan 22, with the cover art also to be found on the authors' official site. Karuho Shiina, mangaka of the hit Shoujo series Kimi ni Todoke, has kindly given a supportive comment to Iris Zero. Karuho seems to be a fan.

Specifically, it's this:
Quote:
「みんな不器用で優しい子たち。
小雪ちゃんと透くんに幸せになってもらいたい中、
篠塚くんも気になるキャラです。
くっ、久賀さんもね!!」
(Translations will be appreciated!)

The first and second volumes are getting extra print runs. With popularity like this and the quality of the writing, I don't think it'll be going down anytime soon.

Another nice chapter, this one is a bit light on the detective work, but the end is pretty sweet. And despite knowing her Iris, I think there's still a lot of secrets behind Kuga...can't wait to see all of them revealed later on. But my greatest laughs comes from the side stories. The cake one is nothing short of funny and sweet (and not just due to the cake) but the other, much more meta one makes me laughs the hardest. Well, it works for Bleach...

This series has become all sorts of awesome for me, and Chapter 9 was no exception. Though like others have said, a lot of the laughs came from the side stories. I burst out laughing when Toru drops the fork and was like, "WHY WASN'T I BORN A WOMAN!?!?!?!?" . Definitely can't wait for more.

Minimum Exposure mean nothing when there is a cake. FACT.

Just imagine if the school offer a free cake for those who are reputable and popular..Toru will accept the offer and pwn other iris student.

lol that was just too hilarious, I would never have thought Toru had this side to him and Koyuki was just as adorable as always.
Gotta admit a little odd seeing a male lead with a sweet tooth.

The cake shop story was adorable. :3 And Toru has his priorities straight it seems. Nuff said.

Fortunately for Toru, he hasn't played Portal. He would be devastated that the cake is a lie(or is it?) .

Anyway, chap 9 was another good chapter. Really like the mystery-solving elements despite the premise of the manga. I also am not sure where everyone is getting suspicious of Kuga. She hasn't done anything out of the ordinary that would make her seem strange, but perhaps people have seen past chap 9.

People just aren't thinking creatively about Kuga's Iris. It may seem harmless as presented, but Toru showed in Hijiri's flashback that there can be more than one use for an Iris.
