For me... Its remained Cowboy Bebop "Knocking on heavens door"

It was just a great movie to blend into an amine series and even after being around now for many years, it still holds its benchmark in great anime movies imo. One of my most amazing bits I remember was Spikes fight with that girl inside the cooperation. Such awesome skills with a broom . Oh and the start was awesome too..... You took to long to take a shit ! *pointing!*

I dunno if this actually qualifies; but Final Fantasy: Spirits Within.
Brings back nostalgia. But if it isn't.

Then, Origins: Spirits of the Past was not bad.
5 Centimeters Per Second was nice in a visual way of telling reality.

I agree with Blood: The Last Vampire, despite it's pretty short running time

I also agree with Akira, which is the ultimate Japanese cult anime classic movie

Howl's Moving Castle
It was so imaginitive and beautifully-animated. One of Studio Ghibli's best, in my opinion.

Princess Mononoke is a great movie, as most of Hayao Miyazaki's films are, but I'd say my favorite all time anime movie is Tenchi Muyo in Love. The villian was terrifying and the hero was spectacular. His mother put on a great display of power.

Edit* I totally forgot to mention The Cowboy Bebop Movie! It is definitely in my top 3.

Princess Mononoke and Laputa are definitely my top favorites.
Also, Paprika. Made my mind spin, but it was an enjoyable movie.

One Piece Movie 6: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island

I loved it because the plot just got so freaking dark near the end of the film. A huge contrast to about the first 40 minutes which are quite happy-go-lucky and funny. (It's also the only One Piece animation to acctually have gore in it and not just blood, though it's only one scene which isn't very long.) I've just always had a liking for dark plotlines I suppose.~ xD

It also used a different art style that really worked well with the more menacing scenes. I remember someone telling me the art style was called "bugjuice", though I can't be sure if it even has a name.

Just saw it again tonight, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. A 2 hour epic (as in actually done in the epic style) that features the climax and resolution of everything that had come before it in the Universal Century, as well as featuring many characters finest hours and lowest lows. It doesn't hurt that for coming out in 1988 the movie still looks fantastic and that it still has one of the best musical scores I've ever heard set to any film.

I don't watch boatloads of anime movies, but out of the few I have watched, I would say The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is my favorite. The story was nice, without being particularly revolutionary and the animation was also very good, but what I loved most were the characters. Great movie .

The only anime movies I've watched are Miyazaki movies, so out of those, either Princess Monoke or Spirited Away.
