Question Mashiro's Use of "I"

I've noticed that Mashiro doesn't use watashi. What is it that she does use? Why does she use it?

Thanks for helping me out! Sorry if this was brought up before!

Mashiro's entire "dialect", if you can call it that, is normally used by old people or rulers.

I believe she used "wara" (我). I believe it's because she's royalty. Also consider her using "sonata" (close to thou I believe).

Mashiro is the Queen. She never used "I", she can go with the plural "WE".
Mashiro refers herself (and the whole country at the same time) with the word 我々 "wareware".

I was thinking that "sonata" is "you"...(?)
Because she said it so many times referring to a person beside her...

But I wonder if I am wrong... ^_^''

And as I have thought... Mashiro uses some other dialects because of her position as ruler. Hehe!

I looked up "ja" and got the following.

(conjunction, interjection) (1) then; well; so; well then; (2) combination of 'de' and 'wa' particles

Think of "wareware" as England's "Royal We".

Isn't "sonata" also a way of talking down to someone? Or am I remembering wrong?

How did her HiME version refer to herself?
