Well, everybody else has said it already, so I guess it's my turn. Assuming we get what was hinted at in the shot of Hawkeye in the previews, "I'm looking forward to this episode because it has one of my favorite scenes in the manga", wherein we get some backstory for two of the most important side characters in the series, partcularly timely considering current events in the manga.

Not to mention some nice ink... ^_^

We should get the majority of the remaining Ishbal flashbacks, as well, looks like.

Not nearly as good as it could have been, though i still enjoyed it. Then again it was just worth it for Kimbley, seeing Hughes again, and the two very fitting eyecatches.

I broke down during Armstrong's scene, like i did in the manga. The whole Ishbal flashback arc in the manga was one very powerful, emotional experience, though i find with this episode that the Armstrong scene was the only one that captured that. A shame really. There's no excuse as to why anime only watchers can't go pick up volume 15, and read the Ishbal arc.

I guess cutting up the Ishbal arc did effect it.

Like what they tried to do with the epilogue, though it kinda fails because of the preview for episode 31.

Having no prior manga experience, I'd say from my reaction that it was plenty powerful. One of my favorite episodes in the show so far, actually.

I really agree with the Armstrong part though. I really felt for him there.

The Mustang and Hawkeye portions were very well done as well I thought. Can't wait to see what the next episodes have in store!

Well i'm glad to hear that. It's good that anime only watchers can experience what we manga readers did when with the source material.

About that Armstrong scene... Is it true that they skipped...

Spoiler for Manga:

Cause that really sucks. It was a much more powerful scene with that.

Disappointed with the cut scenes, but unsurprised. Didn't think they'd spend two episodes covering this, and would've been too much for one episode.

Those scenes will probably show up later on (especially the Kimblee ones). Really enjoy Kimblee's VA over the first series (more psychotic), can't wait for Briggs.

Well just watched it myself, and unsuprisingly... a rushjob it was.

It wasn't completely terrible since a few good scenes were still there intact, like Kimblee's lecture to Roy and Riza, but overall it was still pretty weak. I can't imagine why they'd choose to skim through one of the best and most important parts in the series.

I wouldn't be surprised if the thought that it was pointless to focus more on it is a reason why.

But yeah i'm disappointed.

I didn't expect all that much. Sure enough, it was a little disappointing. They cut out a lot of my favourite scenes, such as Roy looking up at Bradley and Bradley commenting that Roy's already looking ahead of him - did they replace that with the puny flashback way back from episode 10? It's sad... But I really did enjoy the Roy and Riza scenes, and I have to say that it wasn't all bad.

The ending was a bit of a fail, though. It didn't work with the preview.

I really wish that they'd have done at two episodes of Ishbal. The anime just zoomed through! I mean, it took up an entire volume in the manga. Why did they have to cut it up and insert bits in previous episodes? It really diminished the impact of the arc. Now it's not even an arc. Jeez.

I don't usually mind how they cut out relatively unimportant scenes in FMA Brotherhood so far.
But this.... this time, it was quite dissapointing.
I figured a lot will be cut, but never did I imagine they'd cut like HALF of the entire arc.
I wanted see Major Gran and General Fessler's stuff. I was looking forward to seeing it animated.

I also couldn't believe they cut the conversation between Knox and Marcoh. I believed that was a pretty strong conversation about what it mean to be a doctor.
