Nice job dude,

You just forgot my note, page 16

[note] At that time, around 1954 (Showa 29), these '3 sacred treasures' were: washing machine, vacuum cleaner and fridge

can't wait for the rest

Sorry Ace!!

I wasn't 100% certain the significance of '3 sacred treasures' in that context, I was planning to get back to you for clarification and ask and it completely slipped my mind! m(_ _)m

(Was TV the fourth sacred treasure? Was TV supplanting one of the other sacred treasures? Were the three sacred treasures on TV?)

Well
I didn't know very well about that when translating

Then, I consulted an encyclopedia and there I saw that 'definition'

It didn't mention TV, but since it mentioned other domestic utensils and even mentioned the year (1954), a year that fits the story, I thought I was looking at the right definition.

Maybe Miyoko was wondering: "Oh, now that you'll have a TV, soon you'll have the 3 sacred treasures!"
I don't know

I'm very happy for your hard work! I truly wish I could read it, but for some reason this filter at my college blocks this site and Rapidshare. I can proxy my way here, but not with Rapidshare. Not asking you to upload it, just saying it's probabl a great job, eve though I can't read it XD

Very well translated!

Not my favorite arc, but well done! You ought to upload it to mangafox/onemanga right away to pep the others up.

Angry Needed - Higurashi translator

It appears that Dreamiel has ditched us. So, KGKA is in dire need of a translator willing to work on any of these arcs: Kokoroiyashi-hen, Tatarigoroshi-hen, or Tsumihoroboshi-hen. PM me if anyone's interested.

Yes, indeed. Dreamiel ditched us without word or reason. She is a [insert explicit word here]!!!

New yen plus out!

Great translation is marred by the uso da not being in color.

Also, it is translated as "you're lying!" not "liar!"

still great.

and props to the scanslators.

"You're lying" is correct. "Liar" would be "uso tsuki".

Still came across as slightly odd--I think that "YOU LIAR!" is a more effective translation.

Usoda.

Uso means lies. da is used in order to place emphasis on a statement, iirc. Effectively, if my memory is right, she is basically saying LIES. You liar simply is innacurate. But it's also a single page that really doesn't matter.

Yen Plus' Higurashi is a bit marred by the fact Rika ends everything in "sir"

Agreed, it's odd (though it doesn't kill it for me).

I do think that Dark Rika will abruptly cease the "sirs", and that'll be used to show the change.

Something that has just struck me as odd: I don't believe I've ever seen a development between Rika and Satoshi....ever. It just seemed strange that even though Satoshi's disappearance was such an integral part of the plot, Rika never interacted with him.

"uso" is the word for "lie", the "da" is saying that it IS a lie, so I would say a better translation would be "That's a lie". Usotsuki means "liar".

By the way, can anyone help me with my other post at the top of this page?

edit - At the top of the last page I mean. This post created a new page -_-

edit2 - the DVDs from Yesasia.com doesn't come with the tokens needed to get the OVA. Hope it is still available somewhere else.
