It's not that simple. Desu and da aren't equivalent to the the english verb "to be" - they're a much more specific copula, since there's aru and iru for the "being" aspect. The best thranslation, I believe, is "LIES!!!"

And the Nekogoroshi-hen DVD date expired. You needed to send in the tokens or the obi from the manga by a certain date, with an address in Japan, to get the OVA. So, too bad.
But, it's been subtitled. So, good for you. Just poke around a little, you'll find it.

Wow, you know, that's exactly what I told my friend the other day. (And then made some RikaxSatoshi joke)

Rika is the only one of the group who hasnt been shown with Satoshi. She's never even MENTIONED him, which is pretty odd indeed.

No problem!! (~^_^)~

I know rapidshares suck and frankly I don't love that they're the way we often have to release stuff. That hasn't changed for a number of highly dubious reasons, mostly efficiency related, and for that I'm sorry!

(I was just bitching on the release page about the people who ask about rapidshares three times a week in the guestbook right after I've spent two paragraphs explaining why we're still using them) >_<

XD Well, again, you guys probably put up with a lot of BS with people, and from what I can tell, everybody's in need of translators, not editors. Unfortunately, photoshop doesn't help me speak Japanese. If you need editors, I'll give a shot helping, but I think the translators have enough work on their hands =^.^=
Well, Anyways, good luck with your work GGAL, and you too KGKA, best of luck to the both of you!

And also, one more thing, great job editing Matsuribayashi-hen! I cannot wait, Takano's one of my favorite characters =^.^=

I thought she mentioned him when Rika and Satoko went over to Keiichi's house to help him with the cooking.

Well, a mention as thats who he was. But no flashbacks between her and Satoshi or anything showing that they were really good friends. Rena had her flashback-ness, the twins and Satoko are obvious, but not Rika

Either Rika's decided that he's not worth the effort, or she really wants to live with Satoko, her friend.

So to hell with Satoshi and his questionable absence? I'm not under the impression that Rika would be quite so petty.

The only way that for be even a remotely feasible defense is if Rika realized that Satoko needed her brother to be gone in order to become a stronger person, since apparently all that is needed to control fate is a strong will.

satoko relies on her brother too much ... So rika makes her become independent..

Or there was nothing she could do without making it worse for Satoko.

You make her sound pretty cruel, inflicting suffering Satoko, Shion and of course Satoshi himself, just to make Satoko 'stronger'.

What presumably happened is that Rika simply couldn't save Satoshi, just as she couldn't save her parents or Satoko in the worlds where Teppei returns. By the time the story starts Rika can't go back to when Satoshi was around so she can't do anything about it anyway.

Plus, with her general apathy, she must have completely given up on Satoshi like Takano and Tomitake.

Please, try to realize you don't know what you're talking about.

Does she ever actually give up on Takano and Tomitake? She tries to save them in Minagoroshi-hen and considers their deaths to make hers almost inevitable, so she's well-motivated to try and prevent them.

She did give up
But since minagoroshi world was going so well, she decided to try again

It's strange to think that the primary trigger for the worlds was always independent of the crew's actions, since everything is so interconnected.
