The movie is more believable as Ranka gives Sheryl a blood transfusion instead of magically curing her disease with a power that was never even hinted at having before.

Then again, if you look at how fast the last episode went, what part would they be able to insert blood transfusion? If they hadn't pulled a Jesus!Ranka, Sheryl would've died, as the episode was already packed full. Then it would be Ranka who would have to help the Vajra understand humans.

The Nome bloodline thing was underused in the TV series and I was glad the first movie fixed that.

it is traveling to the brain but is currently IN her vocal cords. It still travels to the brain in the movie as it did in the series, but when they catch it, they can do something about it, unlike in the series.

Its more about the way it was presented than anything else that just bugs me. They could have just as easily have Ranka do it at the end of the episode by rearranging events. After all the whole scene when Ranka did that was pretty stupid, this includes the events. Ranka's character would have ended up better at the end of it.

No, Sheryl would've died right in the middle of the battle. Alto didn't rescue Ranka till AFTER Sheryl was cured, so either way; it wasn't bound to be any time for a rescue scene to a sick Sheryl at the end.

That's why I mentioned rearranging events, so that the ending would make more sense.
