Quite a dramatic episode that builds up to the climax in later episodes. It's weird to see Dan out of action. An episode without him yelling and doing something stupid just doesn't FEEL like Basquash?

I feel sorry for Flora, but both Flora and Rouge are good. If only they don't fall for the same guy!

Looks like Dan, Rouge and Sela will face off against Iceman and Falcon in the final match - I can't quite make out who Iceman's other teammate is in the preview.

I'd agree that the Power of Song(tm) method of transportation was a bit of a facepalmer, but I guess this show was co-created by Shoji Kawamori, after all...

And Citron still has a thing for Iceman.

You're right, from a storyline perspective Slash is by far the most logical choice. What threw me was that none of the machines in the preview appear to have his Bigfoot's distinctive upswept shoulder "wings"... although I guess it's entirely possible that he'd be using a different Bigfoot in this match.

Despite the story being on crack already I suppose it does redeem itself with some healthy action towards the end with Dan waking up from his sleeping beauty coma but just WTH was that thing that is taking everyone into space...looks like something out of peter pan

everyone has someone they like but there is no official couple yet. It most likely will be left ???.
If we go by kissing, the only couple around would be danxrouge as they have kissed twice but everytime was initiated by rogue.

I can't... I can't believe this... the episodes on the bluray are CENSORED! Every slight bit of fanservice-innuendo has been totally removed!! Miyuki's famous boob bounce run in episode 1 has been drastically shortened! Sela's "orgasms" dont show her naked anymore! Haruka boobs don't bounce anymore in episode 3! This is bullshit!!

I'd say this is consistent with the rest of the series, as the show did progressively get less fanservicey than how it was in the beginning. I saw a lot of people criticise the series for the "horrendous abundance of fanservice" that was in the beginning episodes.

I understand this, but imho it is bullshit nonetheless. They didnt even censor it properly, they just cut down/replaced the shots with repeated shots from other parts of the episodes. It's really a disgrace. And with something like bluray, I'd like to be given the choice. I thought they were part of the charm of the show.

Maybe abundant fan service was one of the complaints from the sponsors. The production team did mention that they went back to rework the early episodes.

They fired the previous director because of that? Really those were the best episodes of the series. That is total stupidity.

I doubt they would fire someone for that reason alone, but it might possibly have been one complaint. As we all know, frequent conflict will prevent a project from proceedingly smoothly.

Kawamori can't seem to do an anime without singing as a major force anymore, even if it's supposed to be about basketball. It's kind of like a Gundam TV series without a masked villain, it just doesn't happen anymore.
