Can anyone tell more about "Setup_Pain2.exe"?
Can anyone help me with this "Setup_Pain2.exe"? It is causing me problems because now I cannot access my portables unless I use something like Winrar or some other program. Is this a virus or not?

Sounds like one. Upload it to www.virustotal.com and see what they say.

Not really. When I do virus removals for my business I just focus on finding the infection, removing it, removing routes of re-infection, and repairing any damage I find along the way. I don't pay attention to particulars enough to give advice on how to fix things :|

Yeah it's a virus. I don't understand the purpose of the shortcuts, but it's probably some kind of trick to make you execute more malicious scripts. Those then create backdoors on the computer so hackers can take control of it. That's the end goal of most computer viruses, anyways.
