Plot Summary: Taisuke Kanou is your average 16-year-old student. He has two close friends, Hirose and Megumi. Hirose has trouble with bullies, but Taisuke is always their to defend him, even though he just winds up getting beaten instead of Hirose. During class one day, Taisuke is hit by something unworldly and for that split second, he sees a vision of the universe. As he's walking home from school, he sees a girl fall and die if front of him, but his first thought is jealousy. He later finds out that the strange sansation that hit him is speading throughout Japan. Those who are struck by it either commit suicide or "evolve," but the comrades have evolove usually have dark intentions for the rest of the world.

There's currently only 1 english release with 2 more coming up at Jan this year.
I read the Chinese version. Then was simply amazed by its plot and the fun. Action scenes are pretty cool since it involves supernatural powers. So we can say this is a Japanese version of the current tv show Heroes with hotter girls and better story and alien stories XD. The first volume of the manga started in 2003 which is quite early. Its release paces are pretty slow, only 12 Volume up till now. Anyone else here read it? Its awesome is it not

Only read the available English volume and i gotta say it was pretty good. Since it was only one volume I can't really say if it was real ghood or bad for me. Guess I will have to wait the 2nd volume to come out before I say more.

Just read the first four volumes, volume 1 set the scene nicely while 2 and 3 kinda just were eh.. but 4 got things back on track with Nami.

Read up to volume 6 so far and I enjoy it a lot. I really love how Taisuke uses his brain to fight against stronger opponents instead of getting some massive power-up to win.

The action, for those who are a bit tired with the apparent lack of battles and whatnot, picks up around

volumes 10-12, which is where Taisuke finally catches up with Hirose,

so don't feel too down about it. There's a buildup I appreciate, a slow progress that is a nice change from the eternal duel after duel after duel pattern that is depressingly too common to many shounen manga.

On a side note, I really dig all the quotes, mottos and expressions the author uses as chapter titles. I haven't seen such a fluent, meaningful use of English since Black Lagoon.

Seems like Taisuke's power isn't only manipulating fire, but healing as well. I was wondering why his wounds were healing so fast and not getting hurt after jumping off a building.

Seems like things are starting to heat up. Kanon is just useless now that her weakness has been revealed. I wonder how Nami is going to fare against Yura with all her injuries.

I just read the first two volumes. I thought it was going to be a bit like Invasion of the Body Snatchers at first, but now it kinda reminds me of Witch Hunter Robin with all the murder's, powers, different species of human n'all that jazz. I'm really enjoying it though.

Taisuke "dies" along with Yuichi, only it turns out Yuichi was sealed inside a...rock?
Megumi gives birth to The Ghost, but the scene made it look like she gave birth to... the devil or something. And in the middle of a forest too.
Needless to say, any sources of humor the series may have pretty much died after this point

I'm still confused as to whether this is going to be made into an anime or not. It's been announced for a while now, yet that's about all I've heard

I dont think it was Megumi who gave birth to the devil child.

An anime for this series would be awesome.

Just who is that child ? I assumed that it was the heart of Akuro, but then after re-reading it, I don't think that it's possible

That person who is called Mama or the mother of all the children in the group that Taisuke was incare of, I find that person called Mama a horrible person, I mean she didint even recognize her own daughter when she meet her again after along time.

I mean this person Mama is a person who really loves freedom and sex addict who loves giving birth but not raising them. Thats why i think she is hot, but overall hate her.
