So did season 2 end with episode 45 or 46? It ended with such a cliffhanger...

Season 2 has 26 episodes. So that should make episode 52.

I did NOT expect a 2nd season, let alone a 3rd season!

Will there be another time jump, I wonder? I expect to see Goro marry!

Haha.

Up to this point, they've been following the manga pretty closely. If they stay with it, the next story is how he switches the school, and eventually face Kaido. That story is a trip and a half too =)

You know who you are. We just request that you not do that again

Being a huge baseball fan I love Major. Great show.

Just wanted to comment on the note in episode 46 abotu the gyroball not being real. Well that is up for some debate. There is reportedly a guy in Japan throwing one right now.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyroball for more info for those wondering about it. It would be interesting to see if this actually real and how effective it would be.

What Bane said is not that the gyroball isn't real. But that the gyroball as described in the anime isn't real.

Not the same motion ^^

If I was running Kaido, I'd get Goro's butt out of there faster than white on rice. Unless they plan to scrap their "manual baseball" altogether, he's the worst kind of insurgent. He happens to be absolutely right, of course, but I doubt that'd matter to them.

Hmm, just finished volume 58 of the manga, and it'll probably be a while before I read more of it. It's a manga best marathoned, just like the anime.

Regarding season 3, I can't really see how they can make it interesting, unless they make huge leaps in time and skip a lot of stuff. While it's been stellar up to that point, it takes a dive into that dreaded and oft-used scenario manga authors choose when they think their protagonists are getting too strong:
Spoiler:
It's agonizing and slow and bloody annoying. Luckily it doesn't last forever (15 volumes?!), but it should be enough to sink an entire season of the anime.

What the hell is "Kaido"? It's "Kaidou", dammit! I bet you call him Goro, too. :(

Did anyone catch the documentary on japanese high school kids, called
Kokoyaku:High School Baseball, its looks at 2 teams trying to win the championship. I only cought the last 10 mins but it was really good i wish i cought the whole thing. i might order it..

its alot like major...

Quote:
Kenneth Eng: "Kokoyakyu" is a documentary film about two high schools as they embark on their annual quest to get to Koshien, a sacred baseball tournament that's been happening since 1915. We profile the two coaches of the teams and show how the Japanese have turned baseball into education.

Alex Shear: The film follows an underdog team from a small public school — Tennoji — and a powerhouse team from a private school that has already won national championships — Chiben — as they both try to make it to Koshien Stadium
