Ayashi no Ceres

For all you Ceres fans out there, how long has it been out and how many volumes have been published so far in the U.S. I've only read up to #3 and I'm so confused!

Oh yeah... For FY fan, how many volumes does that have??

Ergo, Viz is as slow as a tortoise, they should have been finished with these series by now. Ayashi no Ceres does, in fact, completely suck, but the one volume I read of Fushigi Yuugi was actually pretty interesting.

Yup Viz is indeed slow as hell (not to mention excessively expensive), so if you can read french I suggest you get the french version for both manga. It's released by Tonkam Editions and they have both series completed allready (not to mention they are ALOT cheaper)

actually the rereleases of Ranma, Fushigi Yuugi, Ceres, and almost every other Viz title cost 4 cents less than tokyopop releases
only problem is they ARE INCREDIBLY SLOW
btw Viz is backing the U.S. Shonen Jump escapade

Which is good news for us, because all manga volumes released by Shonen Jump are $2 cheaper in the US than any other company's titles.

i think that has to do with shonen jump japan being one of the top selling magazines world wide, the phonebook sized issues of SJ sell for...i think it was 200 yen (about $2 american)

Ceres is being redone into the unflipped, lower-priced, smaller size books, and I think they're speeding it up a little bit. Anything is better than the schedule it was on - 6 months between books was ridiculous.

I'm a little annoyed that I have to re-buy books 1-4, since I have those in the old format. And I do want them unflipped...

I have found that Viz generally tends to have higher quality than the other manga companies. Their masters for some of the books are just larger than some other people.

yuuhi deserved better.... he was the man in the story... THE MAN

but at the end he gets shafted with the promise of tooya's sloppy seconds when he dies and leaves his aya and his kid in yuuhi's care

i hated that about Ayashi....

Ceres looks really good and has been one of those series which I've had my eye on for quite some time now but still haven't actually gotten around to begin buying/reading as of yet

Ceres Celestial Legend is an amazing, mature romance manga. I wish the anime was like the manga.
