Just caught up with the latest episodes. About time some kisses happened between Mahiro and Nyaruko, though they were in special circumstances (inside the dating sim and after body swapping). Better than nothing, I guess.

Yith story was nice and also gave Kurei a bit more relevance. And the loli featured in episode 11 is lovely.

Actually I think wondering about whether it was emo or not is already too much thought put into it. If this anime could get seriously emotional that'd be a big surprise to me and I haven't been surprised once so far. Except that sunset confession most episodes are just troll attempts (or unsurprising twists, perhaps). By the time the last episode reaches 1/3 the build-up from ep 11's last scene is probably long gone. I just want to see my weekly dosis of mad chaos for the last time, maybe would like to see another flag like the sunset confession, and put my faith into a 2nd season.

OT:
I finished Saya no Uta with all the endings. What a mindbreaking yet beautiful story, I expected no less from Urobuchi Gen. I wouldn't try to connect it to Haiyore though, however my curiosity makes me question Nyaruko's offspring with Mahiro.

Nyaruko is a different league than Saya. Saya is just a shoggoth after all, and we've seen two examples of such this episode (Cyclone! Metal! God, I miss Kamen Rider Double). Okay, they're deadly to humans, but to Great Old One? Pft.

Actually, it's never revealed as to just what the hell Saya actually is. All that's know is the minute she gets pregnant, humanity's screwed. That said, I wish the guy from that game would go suck on a grenade considering how much of an ass he is.
