Well I know, I know there are lots of those topics already and I read them. Though it seems like I'm a little picky if it comes to romance.. That's why the other threads don't help me very much. And I've seen/tried a lot already, which might also be a problem ^^;

Hachimitsu to Clover ?
If you're okay with manga, I think the manga that was also created by the creator of Fruits basket (I think it's Hoshi wa utau. . ) is also a great series to read. And Crossroad from Shioko Mizuki is also a good manga with many unique character.

You might like Toradora! It's an anime adaptation of a light novel. It has some good romance and lots of hilarious stuff too.

I will second Honey and Clover here, sounds perfect for you.
Also, you should try REC, Kanon, Hanasakeru Seishōnen, Glass Mask, Seto no Hanayome and Ultra Maniac (a mix of Card Captor Sakura and Marmalade Boy).

Thanks a lot for the replies! Especially Toradora got my attention.. I'll try this one first. About Honey & Clover, I tried it a year before.. and I dropped that one as well ^^;
Also thanks for recommending the new series of the Furuba creator. This will be read definetely!

Thanks again! Though it seems that Kimikiss wouldn't be my type.. Forgot to list: Absolutely love Ghost Hunt and Vision of Escaflowne! Watched Toradora till Episode 9 now.. but I'm loosing interest in this one as well..

How about Special A? It's some elements of Ouran (rich kids), but it's closer to Kare Kano.

REC is very well done with realistic characters and a bit more of a "realistic" relationship. The anime is very short though, haven't gotten around to reading the manga, but I've heard it is much longer.

Plus the two main characters are young working adults so it's not a typical school romance.

You need to get a dose of Princess Tutu ASAP! It's very unique, and there is hints of romance, plot and characterwise. As well, it has to do with fairytale (think Brothers grimm, not disney) elements and is a well crafted story. It also is about ballet, even if you know nothing about ballet or even like it, you'll enjoy it

Special A might be good aswell, so I second that. You might even like Ghost Hunt if your into spooky stories, etc.

Great romance/drama/shoujo manga series. These series have couples dating and ins erious relationships.

I recommend Bakemonogatari. The show's description doesn't really make it clear, but it's one of the best romance shows in recent memory, with a clever and interesting couple whose banter back-and-forth is actually fun to listen to.

I really like Penguin Revolution (manga). I think the characters and story are both unique. It is a complete series and runs 7 books total.
I also think you would like like Magical x Miracle (manga). This is also a completed series and runs for 6 books.
