Question now is how far are they gonna go? They're obviously gonnamake this a two cour, but I can't imagine them getting to Alicization considering how friggin' long it is and the fact that it's not even finished LN-wise. Guess they could do Mother's Rosario and Excalibur.

What are you asking for? A summary under these circumstances would be a spoiler.

Best to do this sort of speculating in the Spoiler & Speculation Thread.

I don't think you're necessarily supposed to know this yet, but we'll see if they announce it on the official site before the show starts airing. Otherwise, if you really want to know, you could ask in the Q&A thread or in the novel/spoiler thread.

OH MY SINON-SAMA!!!!!!!!

I was looking forward to what 2014 could offer... didn't think I'd start the year with so much lovely awesomeness in the form of GGO finally being realized!

I'm not one of those overly fanatical believers of SAO and critics the story from time to time. So you can take my word for it. Depending on how it's adapted, this arc should be many times more watchable than that ALO thing.

One step closer to <<The Human World>>!

I love this arc, but after the last adaptation I'm on defense.

So I guess that the second season has Phantom Bullet as the main course, but will the arc take about like 14 episodes to finish? If so, then will A-1 Picture insert Mother's Rosario and Caliber?

Phantom Bullet and Mother's Rosario will fit in comfortably within 2 cours but fitting in Calibur is up in the air since the previous season didn't include the prerequisite side-story during the ALO arc.

Calibur isn't really necessary anyways so they can leave it as OVA material if need be.

Ah I forgot they didn't include <<Joetunheimr>> in season one.

That would make Caliber SS awkward, but if they don't include that then Mother's Rosario also...

Why do I get the feeling that, despite having a gun, Kirito's going to end up just dual wielding rifles and clubbing everyone while dodging their bullets?

While the first two arcs were mediocre, I really did enjoy Phantom Bullet and Shino/Sinon was probably one of only two characters to date who was developed really well (I got bored and stopped reading the novels before Volume 9, so don't start going on about how there's some character in Alicization or Progressive because I haven't and probably will never read it). So, I'm actually looking forward to it.

Well I personally aren't quite paying attention on anime production company so i can't compare their works with those from others and give an accurate comment on this, but there're some people attacking them for this.

If you want to see what weapons Kirito will be using, look at LowGear's post, xP

I have but one thing to say about S2: they better damn well do justice to the first action scene. The animation complexity probably isn't too hard since it's guns instead of swords (less limb movement) and they have every reason to make a big splash with the premiere.

The only reason I'm saying this is because it felt as though the animation budget for S1 fell through the floor during the second half...
