I like the woman looking after kousei getting him to start teaching to give him some experience at it.

If he's going to stick on the path of music, its good to have a plan B with it that if he doesn't make a living just playing, he can always teach it for a living.

Finally caught up, I pretty much ignored this one till someone told me I really needed to watch it, boy I wish I didn't blow this one off. Anyways the death flags are strong in this show, forcing her to resemble Arima's mother, especially after he finally came to terms with her death is really kicking a man while hes down.

Holy crap, WHAT? I missed the 2nd cour of the show till now, finally watched this episode and while we all know that the death flags are all over the place.

"Want to commit double suicide with me?"

Ho-ly sh*t stuff just got very real. I basically did a double take on that.

She's quoting, as she often(?) does. A book about a boy visiting a girl in a hospital. Don't take it literally. (Though the girl in question is dying, so who knows?)

I like how her mentor and Kousei gives Nagi advice this episode especially how she felt a bit of fear. Nothing too unusual though as people gets scared about performing once every while. I think she has a lot of potential with all the practice she has put in so I am definitely looking forward to her performance. Also it should be obvious by now with her relationship with Takeshi Aiza.

With all the buildup, there's also Kaori. Watari's urges to let Kousei visit her was a right choice after all that has happened now. It was also about time the guy gets a little spotlight as I feel like he was in the background like forever. That last scene really worries me a bit about her though because it doesn't look like she is doing any better than previously. The color of her pale hair is nothing like when she was playing gracefully in the beginning.

I really liked this episode. I actually gave a darn about Nagi. I get really tense and hyped at the end of each episode right before someone goes out to play music, so when I realized the whole performance was skipped, I almost punched my screen. I really wanted to see Takeshi's reaction as Kousei walked onto the stage.

Oh damn another heart rending ep... seems each ep wants to top the previous one... and the girls are always crying. Kousei is quite the charmer, Nagi is his next victim? Seems every girl is under his charm... if the story isn't so much dramatic it could easily enter harem genre.

This ep even Watari has his moment... he even admit that the one Kaori needs is Kousei and not him.

I liked where the anime was going when it first started but after eps 7 or so, it just kept getting darker and more depressing. I'm dropping this series.

I'm not sure what I think about introducing Nagi. Its obvious shes there entirely to lighten up the mood Kaori's situation creates.

Its a character driven series thats doing its damnedest to make you forget about its standout character so they can quietly kill her off.

can anyone tell me if the ending is going to be even remotely good natured? then i'd have more motivation to keep watching this. i dont want to set myself up for a heartbreak.

I've been catching up with the past 4-5 episodes over the past few days, and they almost lost me...but grabbed me back in again. Kousei can be such a wuss, but when I put myself inside him and feel his changes, it works. Not enough interaction with Kaori, and not deep enough, but when it got deep, it worked. And the appearance of the cartoonish nasty little girl set my teeth on edge, but she's coming through very well, now...played by the incredible Kayano Ai.

That was nice overall in terms of performance. I think Nagi proved to the world that she has the talent to play music alongside Kousei. The performance imo was tense, with a good amount of transition between various scenes. But for it's worth, Nagi and Kousei were able to capture the attention of the audience.

I found the aftermath to be funny though in regards to her brother.

And we also see Kaori this episode as well too. Ah, she may seem somewhat well but her hair and condition doesn't look very elegant.

I would rate Nagi-Kousei waltz as second best after Kaori-Kousei duet

no wonder Takeshi become that jealous
that moment when you see Nagi fall in love with her accompanist.. or maybe just an admiration
Nagi is so popular.. that Miike kid is unexpectedly become Arima's fan even after Arima crushed the previous violin recital

I won't comment about death flag...
I just think Kaori become more and more beautiful.. but pale ;___;
seems like Watari is ready to give up on Kaori though
