With the various media and routes Heroic Spirit Servants are supposed to be the same person as they are removed from the transmigration of souls but how society remembers a legend and the truth affects their present form.

But the anomaly here is that Gil remembers Shirou quite intimately. Servants are supposed to forget their previous summoning upon being summoned again for the Grail War. Again Saber being an outlier.

I was under the impression Gil had initially been summoned in Miyu's world, which is how he knew about her and Shirou. Maybe he ended up in Illya's world through another means than summoning, explaining why he was able to retain his memories.

No, T-chan is Taiga (confirmed in the final episode).

Both Gil and Saber were outliers. Saber's case is special because it's the genuine article being summoned instead of a memory of the legand.

Gil was also an outlier in the VN because he was never desummoned after the previous war.

We don't know what happened in this alternate world. For all we know, little Gilgamesh may have seen Miyu's brother Shirou fighting himself, which is why he knows him so well.

I think what Shadow5YA means is that normally a hero dies and becomes a Heroic Spirit stored in the Throne of Heroes, and the grail summons a copy of that spirit into the modern world.
Saber on the other hand isn't a spirit stored inside the Throne, she (or just her spirit, I'm not sure) is summoned from her deathbed where she made her wish to the world.

Basically, unlike the rest, Saber isn't dead yet. She always returns to her dying moments to be summoned again. It fits with the Legends of the once and future King of the Britons. Just resting in Avalon until she is needed.

I must say damn that is a lot of catalysts in that treasure room. I mean are the Burial Agency and Mage Association doing anything to stop this guy?

I wouldn't be surprised if the master is vamp.

I'm going to assume that in this parallel world, they are the most powerful in the area that even that version of mage association cannot do anything or they were nipped in the bud. Same goes for the burial agency.

I keep forgetting to check on this and always come back weeks after it's updated. I just caught up to chapter 4 now myself.

Seeing Illya finally get Ruby again (or did she transform that club into Ruby?) actually made me say "YES!" out loud. I realize it's only been a few chapters, but it feels like she's been lost here without her powers for ages, and it is time and past time she got a chance to start paying these dolls back. Of course, given what happened when they first appeared and kidnapped Miyu, they may still be able to stomp her, but at least she's not a total victim anymore.

Chapter 5 and 5.5 are out.

5.5 was absolutely hilarious. Witnessing Kuro and Illya kiss has awakened something deep inside Mimi. She has been thoroughly corrupted. I love how Kirei and Kiritsugu were used to illustrate BL.

The fighting in chapter 5 was great. It's nice to see Gil fight without relying too much on Gate of Babylon (because he can't at the moment). He's very skilled at using Enkidu. Grabbing Angelica's weapon before she could fire them and throwing them back at her was amazing. Illya was also impressive. She's finally managed to install a card again, and I have to say she looks good in Caster's outfit. I'm afraid she'll have to do better than that if she wants to win this match though. The opponent is using freaking Thor...

Is Gil here even supposed to be a good guy? He is as arrogant as ever.
