Of course it's always good if a series gets merchandise and I won't complain. If there're no figures that I would like to buy I'm saving money so all is good
Those companies will most likely put products fot this series. SnK is too big not too.

Me and my big mouth of wanting a PVC figure
If the Kotobukiya one of Levi is awesome I will definitely buy it though and I have to see what the Sentinel will look like colored.
Now if there will be an Armin and Jean PVC figure I will be more than happy

I agree with Attack on the Wallet

I have found a few things in the internet about a certain Guidebook.

I could not find a complete scan of it yet, however I found images that are supposedely part of the guidebook: blog.livedoor.jp.

There you can already gather most of the important information. However I also found something else on Crunchyroll's website (their source is yaraon). What caught my interest here was:

Notice, how you can clearly see the names in romaniced form, espacially the name "Eren Jäger" (in German that is interchangable with "Eren Jaeger"). I'd like if someone could tell me how legit these pictures are, or if they are just fanart (or photoshopped manga images) mixed with the stats.
If they happen to be legitimate, then this would directly confront that stupid americanization of the names by Kodansha USA. Honestly, "Yeager" makes absolutely no sense in the context of the story, even more so ever since the first anime opening aired.

And regarding that twitter statement from the editor about the names:
No, I don't believe "twitter canon" (SnK wikia is obsessed over this twitter post). Even though the editor wrote those words, there is still the possibility that he was simply telling the fans what names "are used in the USA".

Example: Anime creator of Japanease Pocket Monsters tells his fans via twitter that the protagonists name "in English" is Ash. That does not change the fact that his name is still Satoshi in the original.

Same could be applied to Detective Conan. In this case even twice: The title (Case Closed vs Detective Conan) and the protagonist's real name (Jimmy vs Shinichi).

Let me guess? Your involve in that dispute on wikipedia whether Eren's surname is Jaeger or Yeager.

Since almost everyone except Kodansha USA uses Jaeger, then the former is correct.

I`m seriously considering purchasing the Blu-Ray in support for the great works the anime studio has done so far for AoT.
Yes, I am going to purchase all BD products for Attack on Titan and other goods. I have the first volume and it is really impressive. I have not opened it yet and I don't know if I want to. But I know I will open the 3rd volume and onwards, the ones with the VN game. I also saw the FIGMA figures - I am a big FIGMA person, I only purchase the ones that interest me the most. I hope they get Krista, Annie, Reiner, Armin ... ah, Levi too and Sasha. I know Mikasa and Eren are getting FIGMA figures.

Here are pictures of the BD first volume:

You can see volume 0 in there which is a prequel to the main events in Attack on Titan.

Okay that sounds hilarious.

I'm assuming art was done by the guy who has worked on these comic strips right?

Any idea if the Blu Ray comes with official English subs? If not, any word on one with official English subs being released?

Likely whenever Funimation actually releases the series on DVD and BluRay here in the U.S., which will probably take a year or so for them to do.
