[Question] Genre of a certain kind of music themes

Hi everyone.
In Anime & Games, on certain grand events or battles, there's a kind of music theme that plays. An "epic" kind of theme with chorus vocals along.
What I'd like to know is if that kind of theme is a specific genre as I'd like to search for more of those kinds of themes to listen.

Such music type is, as you've pointed out, usually referred to as "Epic music". There is no specific genre to list it under, but it is done via the orchestra. Naturally, in anime and games, the sound is performed virtually and not via live play, but the instruments and the style are the same. So, long story short, these epic themes usually consist of orchestral performance.

Thanks for the intel, really appreciated.
The funny thing is, I decided to try to search on Youtube for "Final Battle Music", "Epic Music", "Epic Orchestral Music", "Epic Choral Music" & "Epic Orchestral Choral Music" and have kind of found what I was looking for...
But the intel you've given about it is good trivia, and I like trivia overall

Gregorian chanting is a pretty ballin genre. Most orchestral music like that though doesn't have an informative genre title because classical distinctions are more based on time period than actual style. You're better off looking at individual composers, Dvorak for example has a lot of really "epic" music, as do Aaron Copland and Wagner. More modern composers may have come up with a genre title for that kind of music, but I'm unaware of what it'd be called.

Even if it doesn't have the chorus chanting, still pretty kickass.

Alternatively you could look into symphonic black metal or viking metal

Right, I mean most games have someone who composes the music, so that's why I doubt there's any specific genre you could call those epic or battle themes, they probably draw on influence from people like Dvorak or other western orchestral composers and incorporate traditional Japanese music that uses chanting, like Jomon war drums and stuff in the same way that certain metal genres incorporate traditional European folk sounds as well as classic metal formulas. You'll probably have the best luck just looking up whoever composed the game and see if they made anything similar.

Are there any specific games or anime you are talking about? Or just in general?
