About Shion not choosing to kill Rena.

It was said in Meakashi-hen (in the VN) through Shion's internal monologue that she felt, when she first met Rena, that she would never want to pick a fight with her. (Rena's Oyashiro-mode and all the stuff she knows about Oyashiro-sama kind of scared Shion at that time). As a result, even when Shion was near L5 status, she never even considered going after Rena, because that fear carried over.

Also, as Daisu said, Rena was not part of the revenge anyway. She had nothing to do with Mion's relationship (in the case of Keiichi) or with Satoshi's disappearance (in the case of everyone else she killed).

Re the GHD:

Takano's primary goal is to discredit Tokyo by manipulating them into carrying out the GHD. Killing Rika is just a means to that end.

plus, shion's plan originally had nothing to do with killing people, it was all about uncovering the truth behind satoshi's dissapareance; teh fact that she accidentally killed her grandma plus the hinamisawa syndrome is what triggered all the killings, and rena was competely unrelated to the killings. she killed her grandma, mion, rika and kimiyoshi because they were the gosanke; she killed satoko because she blames her for satoshi's suffering and she killed keichi out of jealousy. not that she liked keichi, but she was jealous of mion having a "posible" love unlike hers.

Spoiler for about the gas incident:

part of tokyo benefits from the gas incident, that part being the new/young people in it, since he gas incident can be seen as a failure of tokyo's leaders, having to sacrifice a whole village because they failed to protect a child, it's current leaders lose powers and the people who are lower in tokyo arise to power.

Wasn't Keiichi sent to the hospital, and was alive?

..What happened to him after that? I can't recall. I know he started hallucinating, but I can't recall much after that.

Shion "tried" to kill Keiichi but they managed to save him in time after he was hospitalized.

Afterwards though, scary hallucinations brought up by paranoia gave him a heart attack and finally killed him.

Not really anything else after that.

I have some Shion questions..

Does Shion go to school? In almost every arc, she's not at school with everyone else. She goes to school in another town, right?

Does Shion ever take care of Satoko? She almost never acts as her Nee-Nee.

Does she gas everyone in Watangashi and Meakashi? I heard she didn't.

She goes to St. Lucia Academy, which is further away from Okinomiya, which seems to just be an apartment that Kasai gets Shion when she runs away from that all girl school. Shion decides to work instead of going to school.

In later chapters, guess she is on better terms with her family and able to go to same school as Mion. Kasai pretty much chauffeurs her around.

Only later chapters she helps Satoko out alot more, before that she blames Satoko for what happen.



Pretty much in later worlds, Shion troubles become less and less, giving shion a better future.

On a side note, there is a manga exclusive arc called Utsutsukowashi-hen which is a prequal to Watanagashi/Meakashi-hen. It details Shion's days when attending St. Lucia and what beckoned her to leave the academy in the first place.

I've got a question, I'm not sure if it's anything someone could answer for sure. At least maybe someone could give some insight or theory on this:

After the end of each arc, what is the outcome for Takano? What I mean is, in arcs where the Gas Disaster occurs, what happens with her after that? How about arcs where it doesn't occur (Watanagashi/Meakashi)? This excludes Matsuribayashi, obviously.

Nomura could very well be the witch that Bernkastel plays against. Nomura seems to be just higher than Miyo in TOKYO's ranks, so it would make sense that she can end the game in any world by deciding Miyo's fate.

Has it ever been fully confirmed that Mion had never affected by the same paranoia that caused every other main character to kill? If she had/has, what was her trigger?

I'm quite sure that her trigger for the syndrome was Keiichi giving the doll that he won as a prize to Rena. Also, it was Shion who got the syndrome pretending to be Mion
