Update today from Editor Kawasaki of the Famitsu Bunko (SFW article, NSFW site):
It's time to introduce the Idiots, Haruhi, and a Collaboration Fair specialties. Here are the posters that'll be hung up to advertise the fair:

The Haruhi characters are drawn by Haga and the BakaTest characters are drawn by Ito.

Whenever you purchase one of the items in the fair at a participating store, you'll get a coaster:

I mentioned volume 11 earlier, but the first three Haruhi novels will have new obis with the Haga cover art:

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the BakaTest novels. Here's what their obis will look like:

Those who send off to participate in a lottery also win tapesties (combined, Haruhi, BakaTest) or a pre-paid book card (Haruhi/Mizuki).

Lastly, those who purchase any of the fair items at Gamers, Tora no Ana, or Melon books will get a special newly written story from Kanji Inoue called Idiots, Tests, and Summoned Beasts: Melancholy Vol. with cover art from Noizi Ito:

Also, to continue a discussion many many many pages ago, I came across a database that listed the first print runs of the novels in English. Here's what Hatchette printed for each novel:

The short story included in Haruhi Hyakka is entitled Random Numbers (あてずっぽナンバーズ/Atezuppo Numbers). Personally, I'm not sure what it's referring to, but my favorite guess on 2ch has to be a karata tale. We'll see in about 42 days!

The Sneaker has made a specialty site for the tenth anniversary which announced that this short story takes place near the beginning of Intrigues as the SOS Brigade goes on their first shrine visit of the year.

I want to start with a disclaimer:
This is not confirmed to be a Haruhi story!

Someone got a copy of The Sneaker - Premium issue to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the label/magazine and posted an interesting scan:

This is an advertisement/announcement that the anthology celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Sneaker will be released on 7/1. In it will be a short story by Nagaru Tanigawa with illustrations by Noizi Ito. The title at the moment is "Round-Trip", but that is subject to change. The only title the two have worked together on is of course Haruhi, but this is not confirmed to be a Haruhi short story. I think it's likely to be one, which is why I'm posting it in here, but I cannot state with 100% certainty that it is.

... Actually, they were both part of a multi-creator collaboration thing for Dokuro-chan. Still, that was just a one-off, so I doubt it means much.

Ultimatemegax and I are currently working on translating the short story from Haruhi Hyakka, "Random Numbers." Can't say when we'll be done as we've both been busy, but we're making some progress so hopefully it won't be too much longer.
