Yep, it indeed says Spring 2009.

Ahh, maybe they'll be kind and make it a short season. Heh, the last show they had that was short was Haruhi!

I think it was confirmed as 13 episodes, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't neccessarily say confirmed, more so assumed from a process of logical deduction.

So, looking back, do y'all think it was a good strategy for Kyoani to put Haruhi fandom off for so long? I mean, taking into account the fact that they got to work on other shows while amping up the excitement for Haruhi S2.

I for one think yes (cruel Kyoani, but wise Kyoani).

Sadly no and the majority says the same.

Even I, who's The Absolute Haruhist for so long, has been reduced.

I'm only clinging on to Haruhiism by my figure collecting and drawing of Seitenkan, I've not even drawn Haruhi-sama herself for a long time.

So are you saying that you won't be watching it when it does come out?

I'll just take it that you don't know how much of a fanatic I was because you're new here lol

I was such fanatic, by 'reduced', I'm probably still a bigger 'fan' that most other people. While most people have shifted 'goddesses' to other characters, I still pray to Haruhi-sama from time to time.

So will I not watch Season 2?

My apologies I guess I'm looking at it from a business perspective: if everyone who loved Season One will be there for Season Two then Kyoani has not lost. Of course, it's hard on the fans...

I can't possibly imagine how it could be considered a good strategy. I was a diehard fan but after a while it got to the point that I'd barely care if it ever came out. Really when you think about it, it'll just be a visualization of a script that's been around for years. I'd like to see it but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it getting canned.

I have to agree, my love for this anime has dwindled down to its now diluted form. This has not been a good stategy in anyway, and I'm waiting for them to understand that.

Well my interest has dwindled just about as much as any anime show thats a favorite of mine has when I haven't watched it in ages. Doesn't mean I'm not going to totally enjoy the new material, but it means that I probably won't be watching the old material any time soon. SO basically I'm still pumped for a new season, but I really am just not so obssesive that I need it out right now. I'm enjoying plenty of other things during the wait that I'm not totally fixated on Haruhi, thus I'm not becoming frustrated with how long its taking.

I feel the same way as all of you...

What I really want is totally new material, which is why I am in despair that no new books are out...

Indeed. I'm just glad I didn't pick up this series immediately when it came out, if not I would have been waiting even longer.

Isn't that like really old?

And I actually thought that it was some recently-surfaced news on S2.

Sigh... will this wait ever end?

I don't see why they're futzing around so much. Didn't S1 make them allot of money?

It's because it is still making them a lot of money, and they don't even have to animate more episodes.

That's exactly what I think. And when they do come out with S2, it'll net them even more dough from all the excitement.
