They look nude to me.

Either that girl is wearing just a thong, OR she's wearing a leotard. It's hard to say. No such luck for the girls in the background though.

Yeah the dancer thing is strange I think it could go either way. Also thanks for the comparison Shinobi, I never knew the first prints of the manga were censored that way, but honestly if they wanted to censor it I feel like they could've been more creative than just using a black box.

Using a black box is Togashi making sure people know this IS censuring, and it also means that he could try, in reprint, to take it off.

The human king reminded me a lot of Kim Jong-il. I wonder if that was intentional back when the manga was drawn.

I seriously hope were going to actually see Killua's fight next week. This show has recently started getting to an issue of not actually showing the fights.

So far we haven't seen

Kite vs cat girl
Gon vs Knuckle, Killua vs Shoot (ending)
Knuckle and Shoot vs Kite

I'll be really annoyed if this next fight isn't showing to completion.

Yes. there are a lot of anagrams with north korea and so on, to the point that's it's pretty much explicit.

Okay I see, I was under the assumption that it was Jump doing the censoring and not Togashi himself.

Two thoughts on this:

First, as much fun as it is to think Gon said "ero" what I heard him say was "iro iro" which means "various things". Realistically, I think it's more likely that's what he said, in the anime anyway.

Second, on what Killua says about Gon's worldliness, while I haven't got a raw of the manga handy in the anime Killua says "otona" which means "adult" or "grown-up". Again assuming Madhouse used the same wording, I think that's the best translation.

With the kind of training Killua and Gon are used to, I feel a regular gym workout isn't going to do anything...

Well, basically I think it amounts to Gon not being able to train with Nen. He's 12 years old, which means he needs to keep busy or he'll go crazy. It also means if he wants to keep those ridiculous muscles, he needs to keep using them.

I found another difference in censorship between the first run and reprint!

First run:

No episode this week? That's disappointing.

Such a pleasure to see Killua get his groove back. A lot of mood whiplash in this episode, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Damn! Two weeks without HxH is the equivalent of torture. Even moreso, when I have been anticipating this moment for a while and it did not disappoint. Excellent performance by Mariya Ise as Killua. I was even more impressed that it finally gave us an explanation of what happened during the hunter exam finals.

Oh and Palm. Stay crazy, you ravenous yandere, you...

That was pretty cool. Surprised there was actually a physical reason for why Killua was having so much trouble. Some of it might have been mental, but just amplified thanks to his brother implanting that in his head before. Was fun to see Killua back on top of his game. Frankly all that suffering he went through will probably be good long term. Got his mindset focused on where it needs to be.

Palm is just nuts. Knove can keep that headache.

Somewhat surprised the Cheetah is actually outspeeding Knuckles. Should be a better fight than I thought. But if all that guy has is speed they should be able to take him by using their Nen abilities well.
