i ask that question before and the only answer i can really come up with is that they just haven't thought of it. it is the mindset that if they start making long terms plans with weapons and stuff then they are admitting that they are not going to get rescue.

The survivors head into the forest to find Oomori where we later find out Big foot is a Giant ape called Gigantopithecus. What worse, not only is it big and has great strength, but it's intelligence as well where it killed a Sabertooth Tiger with a Rock! This soon cause a fight between Mariya and Zaji over whether they should leave Oomori to her fate or rescue her but with the price of everyone lives. Eventually, Akira decides to go rescue Oomori with Zaji and that guy who has a crush on Rion and wants to kill Akira while the rest stay behind. Meanwhile, Oomori wakes up in the ape's nest and meets another survivor who tells her what is going to happen to them: they're toys to the ape's baby who's training it's child to hunt and kill and the baby is waking up!

PS:That is one ugly ape. Baby ape ugly too.

Oomori and the girl tries to hold off the baby gorilla until they get rescue. Meanwhile, the survivors learn why Zaji cares about his friends seriously and wonder leaving it to Akira and his group was the right thing. At the same time, Akira and his group finds three giant gorillas in their direction so Zaji volunteers to distract them while the rest rescue Oomori. And we find out, what was psychic girl's vision; Zaji died!

Girl-Mina is the granddaughter of a wealthy family.

Boy-Mina was hired to pretend to be Girl-Mina as decoy for would be kidnappers.

Boy-Mina is traveling with the Akira group

Elsewhere, Oomori and the other girl continues running away from the baby gorilla but Oomori gets hit by it. Akira and Hikime (the other guy who follow him and Zaji) finds the girls but Hikime uses this opportunity to hit Akira in the head and leave him to die.

It says "Requiescat In Pace", meaning "rest in peace", if that wasn't obvious enough. It's too early to say for sure, but I'd wager that they've traveled into the future, maybe as far as 50+ years. Since the person resting under that tombstone is a little girl in their pre-disaster timeline. Either that, or the tombstone is someone's bad idea of a joke. Or the real Miina timeslipped with another group and then they built a grave for her when she died...

sorry i didnt read the spoiler but in the last chapter.79 Oomori tells the girl to think about the guy she likes and for her its akira that she was thinking about does that mean she loves him

As Mariya and Zaji try to figure out how the previous humans escaped the gorillas, they are joined by Maya, who has come to tell Zaji about Mami's message to be careful(but she doesn't tell him about Mami's vision). They soon find an area with a lot of dead big dragonflies which Mariya figures out how to defeat the gorillas. Elsewhere, Akira survived Hikime's blow but before he can continue to argue on why did he do it(turns out Hikime is jealous of Akira), Akira quickly runs to protect Oomori and Kirino(the girl that was with Oomori) from the baby gorilla. However the baby is too fast for him to fight but it stops when it notices something which everyone sees a black fog coming their way.
