It wasn't the prettiest goal ever but it was nice to see Rooney score on his return.

That missed call is a bit of an embarrassment for Platini's legion of referees.

I swear it looks like England have inherited Chelsea's luck and they will win this Euro, mark my words.
I mean their only goal came for triple deflection, I mean seriously, how fluky can you get? What's next? Buffon does a goal kick, and due to a strong gust of wind it ends in the Italian goal.

They looked bad, and they should feel bad.

Especially this guy:

Considering Chelsea got a similar call in FA Cup final (less controlversial as the photo was unclear, but the hawkeye view showed it crossed the line), before winning the CL.... I guess England stand a really good chance on winning this now.

Did i mention that Chelsea also unexpectedly top the group stage in the last round of CL (due to Genk somehow drew with Bayern Leverkusen)?

So my prediction:
  • England will be led 3-1 by Napoli Italy in First half, before make it back 4-4 and win on extra time.
  • They will win a goal from counter attacks against German in first half, then shut the shop in 2nd half with 30% possession and Terry's red card.
  • Spain will unexpectedly lose to Portugal on penalty despite leading 2-0 in the first 14 minutes. Portugal vs England final.
  • After being led 1-0, Chelsea England equalise Portugal in 88th minute. Ronaldo then miss a penalty in extra time, and Steven Gerrard win the Euro with last pk from shootout

Come on, I support England but this is insane...goal line technology please...can't wait to see Platini's excuse this time...this is really getting lame...I don't mind having both the technology and the extra assistant at the same time if Platini really wants to create an extra job to someone XD

Yeah, that disallowed goal was just really bad. Sure, the striker is offside, and you can argue that two wrongs make a right...what you can NOT argue is the fact that out of the two calls to be made, the referee was WRONG on both counts. And at this high a level of competition, it's simply unacceptable.

It won't be over until German's goal is disallowed by Croatia....

Or when goal line technology comes to play

What a pathetic performance by the Czech in the quarterfinals. My goodness.

On the other hand, completely well-deserved victory by Portugal. The Group of Death is marching on.

To be fair they were the better team in the first half of the first half but Portugal were so much better in the 2nd half (Czech Republic never really had a chance) Still well done by the Czechs for holding out so long due to some good saves by Cech and very poor finishing on Portugal's part. They should really stop with those long range shots.

Portugal need to stop being so wasteful otherwise it'll cost them in the semis.

And yeah, the Czech were pitiful. Cech was the only one who showed up for the game. Too bad that last corner where he went forward was so poorly taken.

Indeed Endless Twilight, against Spain or France they will only five chances at best and one those have to go in if Portugal wants to have a chance.

I admit normally I prefer Germany to go through but I'll be fully rooting for the Greek underdog.

Well, someone has to put Britain in its place.

Like Greece, we owe them one from the qualifiers of 2002 world cup, where they stole our position in the last minutes of the last match after a Beckam free kick

This is gonna get interesting. Obviously, the German trainer will bench Gomez, Podolski and Müller against Greece, and will instead field Klose, Reus and Schürrle.

For those not familiar with German football: This is probably the most aggressive option he can pull. We should expect a Greek concrete style defense, they will be parking the bus in front of the goal. Let's see if the new offensive line will manage in breaking it down
