I liked it a lot, even though the start is relatively slow, things get much better and it's a fine piece of the madoka universe. I think the ending might feel rushed because of some things that have been revealed and might not get enough development.

I tried to get into it, but I found its narrative style kind of clunky and haphazard. It didn't really click with me, so I haven't read much of it.

yeah, that's what I meant by slow start, you ahve to persevere, it has it's episode 3-like impact but like after half the series.
