as of ch 192, that's what we found out. it was totally unexpected, but hey, I have no complaints because their battle was pretty cool ^^ Negi getting a fever because of Konoka's remaining healing magic made me lmao, but once again, no complaints there.

what was most lmao for me was when we found out that the tentacle monster was a clothes-devouring-monster. does that make it a clothesivore?

anyone remember how far away are the next closest people and how many people are in that proximity? perhaps if we know the number of people within x kilometers of negi, we'll be able to speculate who'll appear in the next chapter.

Unless Ako shows up in the next chapter, I don't really expect Negi and his crew to find anyone just yet, as they'll be trekking through the jungles to reach the closest girl that Chachamaru can track. However,

Ken Akamatsu mentioned in his online diary that there's some sort of "shift" in next week's chapter (not the one coming on Wednesday). My best guess on this is that Ken will not focus too much on Negi's trek through the jungle after this week and instead begin to focus on the girl(s) that are at Site C. Heck, it's possible that this week's chapter could be a "mini-story" chapter focusing on most of the others girls, although the girls that will be Site C will probably not show up in order for Ken to save their bit for the next two to four weeks (it depends on whether there's three or four chapters left in this volume and if Ken will take another break in three weeks).

i think the focus might be more on Asuna and her learning who she really is. Her part of the story has been keep on the back burner for a while and since she is back in the magic world it is a good time to get into it.

I say Nodoka should be the next person that Negi and company find. They're relationship hasn't been focused on since "The Sluggish Love Triangle" chapter back on day 2 of the festival. What was it... ah yes volume 14 i believe. that's 6 volumes since the last time Negi and Nodoka had any time together. I think it's about time Akamatsu got back to deepening Negi and Nodoka's relationship.

Two notes on chapter 193:

1. It looks like my hunch that Ken is setting up a sequel to Ako section of the Mahora Festival arc is indeed happening, as there's a situation that involves Negi and Kotarou having to use their "bishie" forms as a disguise. Looks like we'll wont be seeing Nodoka again until the next volume (hopefully she gets found at the beginning, given how her second "Mahora Festival" story took place after Ako's story).

2. The search for the others may be even harder, since it appears that Natsumi is in the Magic World as well. If that's true, then I have a feeling that the cheerleaders will need to be found as well. And people wonder why I don't like most of the "normal" characters (aka characters that don't know Negi's secret yet).

If Akamatsu says a shift, I guess we'll go to Asuna since she seems more of a protagonist than the other girls (not that I don't like the others, lol. In fact, I like most of the girls of 3A). I was just wondering, the girls can't be all staying in the same place waiting for Negi to rescue them, so perhaps the next "mini-arc" of sorts might be about the girls trying to find each other? Since Nodoka has the Diarium Ejus, it's likely that she'll be able to either find Negi or find the others.

Chachamaru better notice three blips in the same area soon (as in December, since the next two or three chapters will likely focus on Asakura and Natsumi joining up with Negi), because I'm getting sick and tired of waiting for Nodoka to be found just so Ken Akamatsu can focus on either fanservice or characters that shouldn't be in the magic world in the first place (i.e. Ako and Natsumi).

Nice speculation. I'd like to see some Asakura It'd be better if each chapter can somewhat focus on the different girls so we know what happened to them, instead of just going by Negi because it'll then take forever before all the girl's current whereabouts are known. I know this would make the magna seem somewhat disconnected, but then...we don't really have much of a plot as of current, right? I don't mind the lack of plot in the recent chapters since the girls got dispersed, but I'm really dying to know what happened to the rest of them.

Quick two notes on 194 (as someone has posted some "teaser pics" online):

Spoiler for 194:

1. Along with Natsumi, Ako and Akira have been captured by the slave traders and are forced to do maid work.

2. Asakura is avoiding detection from authorities by disguising herself as a bard.

Given the events of chapters 191-193, it was obvious that Ako would show up sooner or later. Hence, I expect the next few chapters after 194 to focus on Ako's relationship with "Nagi" and Natsumi's relationship with Kotarou.

Three things hinted in the "titled" mini-stories of chapter 175 have already come to be in the arc. Just one more (the one that I'm waiting for) to go (and I have a feeling that will be covered once the Ako/Natsumi part gets resolved).

Wait how come Negi turned into Nagi again?! I hope they explain that properly... Also I guess my prediction was correct relating to Ako and Negi, that somehow she'll find out that Nagi is Negi and from that preview it looks like i pretty damn close.

Someone has decided to frame Negi and his crew for the gatepost attack that Fate and his gang orchestrated. Hence, to avoid detection, Negi and those people that were with him in the jungle (save for possibly Chachamaru, who may be using the loli-body that Satomi made for her) took the aging pills that he got before the start of the Mahora Festival.

1. Sayo popping up from Asakura's bard disguise is so adoreable (something to keep me temporary happy while I wait for the real cutie of Negima, Nodoka, to be found)

2. I don't know if Ako will find out about the "Negi is Nagi" thing in this chapter. Two reasons why I say this:

-After this chapter, there's one or two more chapters left in volume 21, so we may get a small Ako arc here to end the volume.

-While I do have a hunch on who will most likely be the next AA members to be found (hint: think of the "titled mini-stories" in chapter 175 and the only one that hasn't had a possible reference in chapters 193 and 194), I could see Ken possibly delaying them for later and instead have the first part of volume 22 continue to focus on Ako. After all, when it comes to who I think will be found next AA member wise, one specific girl in this group is usually a "key" character in at least one story that Ken writes during the first two months of the year.

Asakura was going undercover as a bard (with Chibi Sayo doll) in order to hide from danger.

Current Negi party is Negi, Chachamaru, Chisame, and Kotarou. All of them are now under the effect of the Age-Changing Pills (given to Negi by Evangeline-sama, prior to the trip).

Natsumi (the previously ???'d person), Ako, and Akira were taken in by slave traders, and are now recruited as maids. Treated rather harshly, at that.

Of course, Negi won't stand seeing THAT... buttkicking ensues.

Also, it's been a whole since I've last posted here.

One correction and one more thing to add

Spoiler for Chapter 194:

The corection: Yuuna is NOT with Ako, Akira, and Natsumi. Most likely, she'll be one of the last ones to be found IMO, since she's most likely going to have some major character development (and possibly make a Pactio with Negi) in this arc, and for now, it appears that the ones that will be found first will be the ones with romantic feelings for Negi (and characters that can provide "support" during these "romance-centered" storylines). Hopefully, that will mean that Nodoka will be among the next girls to be found.

The additional thing to add: according to rumors that I heard on the AQS board, the chapter ends with Negi revealing that all this time, he has been posing as Nagi, which results in Ako getting all emotional and Negi getting smacked by Akira.

Hence, expect next week's chapter to focus more on Ako's reaction to the "Nagi is Negi" thing, although I have no idea of how that chapter will end, since next week is the final chapter of volume 21, and I don't know if Ken is going to provide Ako with some more "character/background" development before moving on to the next girls.
