I'm not sure if I'll even be able to watch the whole episode, but this opening bit you refer to just made my day. Commented on Twitter earlier, but this is clearly what AoEx's ED should have been!

On that note, I actually liked the song, which I see had Elements Garden behind it. Sometimes I worry about myself when I find stuff like 1000% LOVE and Take Off cool to listen to from time to time!

I enjoyed ep1, although the streamed quality made it hard to judge the animation. The guys were introduced naturally and made sense. The characters all seemed to have possibilities. And we got a plot point right near the end.

Sawashiro Miyuki was a big draw for me, and I enjoyed her performance, but it was fairly strange. She seemed to be absolutely overdoing things, and yet it worked for me emotionally.

Personally, I liked her yellow and lime eyes, lol.

I agree with you on all those! Though I must admit I DO NOT LIKE NAKAMURA YUUICHI AS A CROSSDRESSER!!!! He sounds like he got stoned after he smoked million things of meth!!!

I found this show surprisingly good. Forgive me, those who don't like it!

This was decently amusing, surprisingly. Trashy but certainly amusing. I mean, there's Wakamoto as SHINING☆SAOTOME whose antics makes me crack up. The seiyuu were alright, except Otoya. His voice didn't sit well with me. The songs were okay for their genre. I didn't quite like Miyano's singing in the insert song but the ED (actual OP?) was quite good. Haruka's eyes still freak me out. Production was good overall too. The concert scene was done rather well. The biggest shock came from Yuichi Nakamura though. Oh dear lord, I've never had to pick my jaw off the ground like this since Sakurai Takahiro voiced the granny in Soremachi...

No comments on the actual story and character personalities, since that's not what I'm watching this for XP. Maybe they'll grow on me, who knows?

... The OP... My nice memories of the characters... Whu---What. Is that Johnny Jr esque concert--

Ahem, anyway, seems like there are lots of changes and additions, most recognizable with Haruka-chan being less fangirly sparkling eyes, idol/song loving type. Plus the past thing is really... Cliche and cheesy in a way for me -3- Not a matter though, I like this Haruka (more characterized), and Miyukicchi just make it better And loli Haruka! ///^w^/// (More Yusa Kouji is needed though >.< I think I was slamming my head on the desk when I realized he only have 1 line i the episode. Guh.)

And SHINY. AWESOME SHINY. 8Db I am awaiting more of his antics in the future!

I'll be honest here, as much as I love the cheesy comedics in the game, I do like how the anime flows... Better. Yes, I was on the verge of tsukkomi-ing Hayato's scene; but still. Will be following to see how far it will amuse me. Plus reverse harem rarity in the world making my fangirl self a sad panda. ;;

Addendum: The ED (Seems like OP from next ep on) has THAT GUY. And I actually wondered how A-1 will fit that in...

Addendum 2: A-1 anime rendition >>>>>>>>>>>> I.G anime game CG rendition (Save Otoya's). :sob: DAAAAAMMMMIIIITTTTTT WRY ARE U ADVERTISING REPEAT IN THE END BROCCOLIIIIIIIII--- *middle finger* <- Still bitter

I'm still going to remain optimistic for this title.
I like the heroine and her eyes have stopped bothering me. Her voice has a bit to much Yoru/Tomitake in it for my liking though.

The guys haven't really had a chance to get a proper reading on. But for now my favourite is the red head. This might be a show I don't learn the names of the characters though.
I'm interested in the Hayato mystery but the financial scion rivalry doesn't look that interesting from the outset.

Man, I got MIND CRUSH'D by his character. It was pretty much "GRAHAM SPECIAL, REVERSE!!!

I guess I'll around for 2 or 3 more episodes see how it turns out. Fairly high production values for an otome series and the premise so far doesn't seem that bad. Mostly importantly there's.....

NORIO F!@$ING WAKAMOTO!!!!WRRRRRRRY! Dude never fails to be awesome.

If laughter lengthens life (as an old saying goes), and if this series continues onwards like this, I'm going to be immortal by the time it's over.

That said, thank god it's not like Starry Sky (that one just puts me to sleep)! And I hope they wont drop the level of animation, because all the theatrics and craziness is so wonderfully accented by all these characters who can't stand still.

Actually, the animation level reminds me of Neo Angelique Abyss. I mean, there are short cuts, but not enough for them to jar you out of the viewing experience.

Still, this show, alongside Jewelpet Sunshine, is amongst the crackiest shows I've ever seen, and they're both on in the same season.

Oh wow, Nakamura my dear! It's worth seeing this anime just to hear him use a high-pitch voice for his transvestite character to me. (and maybe some more dance sequences, if I'm lucky enough?)

Anyway, this series is not half bad, except for the terrible title (whoever made up that title deserves a good spanking) and the terrible color design (those creepy creepy eyes). I'm not a fan of the singing either, but I guess it can't be helped.

PS. The OP in this episode gave me a heart-attack.

Oh daamn, this thing is actually gooood ! lol
I usually don't watch this type of genre, but if they have good character design in it then I'll watch it It's been a while that I watch something of this genre after Starry Sky though..
I can't use nico streaming so I don't know what comment they gave during the stream..but I've heard it's about 00?

Forgot to mention ;( I can't comment much about the OP songs because those fangirls keep me from actually listening to the music (they're way too loud ), but Hayato's song is..good ;_; I understand how the main character become his fan after listening to that.

I didn't watch it on niconico either, but I saw some of the screencaps taken from their stream here.

Apparently, reading those comments on niconico plus the blogger's comments made the episode 10x more hilarious to me.

Damn, this is going to be my guilty pleasure of the season. Cliché plot? Check. Cliche characters? Check. But the production value is too good and the whole thing is just too hilarious XD

It's just a pity I can't view the niconico episodes in my country, I wanted to see the comments ;_;

Well we see that Haruka has talent with music notation at the very least since she did the musical equivalent of learning Kana in a few days and then jumping into weaving near fluent sentences not long afterwards. Seriously, what she did usually takes a few months to master at the very least, so we might as well call her a musical genius (also, did we get a hint that she's a good singer as well?).

Still lulzy, especially with the rule, which somewhat makes sense when you think about how hardcore Otaku can be about their idols' virginity (plus, a boarding school that churns out pregnant girls wouldn't stay open, or co-ed, for a very long time), but the way it's presented is just ham-fisted and obviously telling the watchers that the rule is added only for drama and making Haruka's inevitable emotional wavering more understandable.

On the Tokiya-Hayato thing I think they might be the same person trying to distance himself from his earlier stage persona and reinvent himself as a new idol. Especially with how Haruka recognized the pitch (again with her musical savant abilities, she's to music what Ichigo was to sweets!) and the principal had to jump in again with the twin excuse.

One of the funniest things with this series is the comments everyone has on the internet about it. Most call it trash, but funny trash which doesn't take itself seriously, and that Haruka's eyes are scary as hell (which kind of remind me of comments on Utena's designs).

So we're left with the generic twin-plot, Haruka's been revealed as a musical genius (thus explaining how all the guys will eventually want to pair with her), the principal is still flamboyant (and planning something that likely will involve Tokiya/Hayato), we got a hot-blooded teacher, everything's still ridiculous, but the animation haven't dropped by much so I'm going to continue to watch it! *Strikes SHINING Saotome pose*

Also rivalry pairings amongst the guys have been established (and yes, it is the pairings in which they sing in the ED concert, which just makes it the more lulzy and suggests that the ED concert will be in the last episode and that Haruka will have made them all friends/frenemies by then). Didn't expect the shouta to be so against being cute, though.

-interesting how the rule was boy-girl relationships...so yaoi and yuri is alowed? XD

-On the twin thing: i think they are twins, not the same person, but there will be a 'twist' where the song that made Haruka fall in love with her idol was not actually him singing but his younger twin brother.

-Well... there would be no pregnancies and you could hit the lucrative fujoshi/otaku market at the same time. (Maybe they planned for this? *Gasps* Like in prisons where prisoners have homosexual sex regardless of their sexual orientations because of lack of options... maybe that's why there's two students in every dorm room. Okay, enough with the conspiracy theories.)

-Yeah, sounds more plausible. Especially if Hayato's singing sucks and he was called to do a performance out of the blue and they simply substituted his musically talented brother instead. Maybe it lead to Tokiya having to perform as his brother multiple times (and thus propel Hayato's stardom but not gaining any recognition himself) and he grew bitter and resentful towards his brother.

-Yup, they planned it. No pregnancies? check. Taps into the yuri/yaoi fangirls? Cheeeeck. Maybe that's why the main character gets so many bishounens at once, so that they'd hook up with each other. XDD

-Yeah, that's what i thought. plus, Haruka said she recognised the pitch, but she said she doesn't have a tv where she lived. So even if she managed to hear one or two other songs by her idol, the one song that's definately on her mind is that first song. Plus, this is the master of all twin cliches: chick thinks she was saved by twin A and loves him. Meets twin B that is very rude to her, nothing like her beloved twin A. She ends up in love with B and then finds out the twin that had saved her was actually B all along.
