It's the character design. The character design turns me off when I saw the preview and skim through the LN. As much as I like Horizon's story, I really think Kawakami should hire better illustrator or tone own the boobs a lot XD. The anime character's is drawn a bit better than the LN's illustration though lol

The difference between Horizon and the Monogatari stories is that in Monogatari, there is no need to learn everything from scratch; you got your basic school setting and your basic supernatural occult settings. With Horizon on the other hand you have to learn everything from the ground up- They have their own geography, politics, religions, technology, culture, races, mannerisms and laws that are not always so easy to relate to.

Then you have to consider that the occult expositions in Monogatari aren't necessary to enjoy Monogatari- whose strong points are it's characters and their interactions (read; wordplay). While in Horizon it's almost vital that you pay attention to most of the expositions to understand and enjoy the story.

(Of course, you could also be in it for the fanservice, in which case none of the above matters.)

Well defined... This is actually why I often scratch my head when they talk like....politics or offerings... Anyway... I'm still waiting for the next season. I hope for a lot of action than talking....

Well, they are poorly equipped because the Testament Union prohibited them from getting their own armed groups, and if not for Kimi knocking some sense into Futayo, the siege of the Inquisitor Warship would be difficult.

They are also outnumbered, but compared to others, they are a handful of hero units compared a battalions of mook units. So they decide to enforce the "spearhead-battering ram" tactic — use Persona's high mobility and Adele's superior defense to split the tercio formations and incite CHAOS CHAOS WE WANNA CHAOS- woops.

Besides, it's not like Toussaint doesn't know what he's doing.

yep, only first chapter scanlated though

it mostly cover the first episode of anime

Even though it was only one chapter, the translators did a good job on the manga. It added in some of the things the anime kind of glossed over.

Horizon II is confirmed to be 1-cour with the disc registration at 7 volumes. So, how exactly are they going to animate the entire 2nd volume when they could barely animate the 1st volume in 13 eps?

Axe all the side events, stick to the main plot, cut out most of the jokes etc.; it's quite doable ... or pull a Saki-Achiga+3.
