Idk, Shiro has to struggle with the fact that she's never dated because of the way she's been raised, so love (or rather lack thereof) is obviously a large problem to sort out in her life. I think she's struggling to cope with her thoughts about Aoki, because she's developing a sense of some attachment to him, but can't really accept those feelings because Aoki is so naive that it kind of clashes with her principles. Therefore, she feels conflicted inside.

Also, we can see with the whole symbolism about the warmth in a man's hands that Shiro is starting to take an interest in inter-personal relationships. Albeit in a creepy way (Let me touch your hand.), the development is still there.

Agreed... futhermore, that inner conflict about Aoki doesn't help in deny that attachment. The more she denies it, the more she feels attracted to him (and to the world he represents: kind, caring, warming, etc).

he has a thing for shiro, in one of the latest chapters he was flirting with Houin-sensei and as always Shiro doesn't approve of those things at work and he was trying to deny it in a hurry. She didn't actually said anything, just gave him the look that she used to give Aoki.

What an amazing chapter ch 50 was, definately what I was hoping for as far as the story development, with some unexpected turns of course.

For starters, I didnt exactly get what was goin on in the masturbation scene, at first I thought she was doing something else, but after checking back on it, that's definately what she was doing. Maybe someone can explain the purpose of that scene a little better to me.

Aside from that, Shira's revalation of why she turned out the way she did and it's connection to the story was perfect. Rin was raised on the values Reiji set for her, and as she reaches the rebelious stage, even though she wants to help him, she wants to be true to her feelings, especially after the lecture she had from Aoki in ch 49. As shira explains the different reasons children escape from the boundaries of the parents, Rin inadvertantly discovers for her it is Aoki, and that as much as she wants to help Reiji, she needs to be true to Aoki. Probably the most obvious form of this symbolism was though her getting aoki's phone number back. Before she had to give it up for Reiji's sake to follow in his ways and his needs. Now she starts living for her own life, and hoping to do her best to save Reiji in the process.

Aoki, on the other hand, with the way his character has developed, realizes although he hates Reiji and would much rather put him behind bars, he cares for Rin too deeply to hurt her, and his need to protect her is even stronger. He promises to help Rin save Reiji, and they both come to a much deeper understanding of eachother, although as usual, Rin takes it a bit too much in the romantic sense lol, and even then, Aoki's grown more accoustomed to her ways and it doesnt seem to bother him as much anymore. I very much enjoyed the symbolism with the phones at the end (courtesy of Wafflez in a recent discussion between us). With the beads on his phone like rins, it seemed as a new level of communication and understanding had been achieved between the two. However, Kirin and I also were discussing that there was something written on the pouch she had the present for Aoki in. As he thanked her at the end, although he seemed to be thanking her for the bead name tag for the phone, he was dreamily looking at the pouch, most likely what was written on it. and Rin had a similar expression, as if she knew that's what he was thanking her for. Any thoughts on what was written there or what it could be a reference to?

On a fun note, Oyajima and Shira semi confirmed, his reaction to her not seeing anyone was. . .well. . .enthusiastic to say the least lol.

And finally, the creepy twist. It took me a while to notice it, but in the scene with Mimi and Reiji, it seemed strange that he suddenly wanted to take her to the to the toilet. After looking back on the section, as he takes her away, you can see a dark substance running down her leg, obviously pointing to her first Menstration. I'm somewhat scared to see what will happen in the next chapter, just because of this. Reiji could just be doing his job as a parent and taking care of her problem that he noticed, or he could possibly be thinking something else. . .seeing as Reiji has a tendency for that sort of thing. Even then, even if Reiji is only trying to be a helpful parent, Mimi's feelings for him could come out because of her circumstances, putting them both in an awkward situation as he tries to help her.

Regardless, very excellent chapter, with a lot of solidity in the character developments of Aoki and Rin, and plenty of new questions raised to look foreward to in the next chapter.

I am a little curious: how do you have blood flowing down your leg and not feel anything? Granted, Mimi is unlikely to link together the blood and Reiji's move on her. As of now, I'm unwilling to give Reiji the benefit of doubt.

On Aoki and Rin, I'm not so optimistic. The Shinji in me says that something bad is going to happen which will test them.

that is not the first time she has done it. She just had other things on her mind at the time and couldn't concentrate. She wanted to give the Gift to Aoki really bad, more than doing that. She most likely would be able to do it after she got back.

Its not really too far fetched as I myself have been known for not even noticing being cut or injured and bleeding because of it a great many times with a few of them being pretty serious ...I guess it can differ from person to person.

Interesting chapter though that continued to show the mangaka has no intention of ever pulling her punches...It was nice to see the two of them come to an agreement about Reji and I'm hoping that this will help be a turn for the better in his character development.

With that said I don't have to foggiest where this bit between him and Usa is going to lead to next chapter...Something to look forward to I suppose.

Remember the link between Reiji and Mimi: family issues, go back to the episode when Rin is sick and Mimi "calmed down" her, read the chat between Reiji and Mimi, i'm sure that he has no intention on hurt Mimi.

I think that this could be a way to closer the relationship between Reiji and Mimi.

Argh... i really wanted that Shiro chan fell for Aoki , her collarbones are f*ckin hot!.

There is Mimi's version too, clearly she will not say something like Reiji was hurting her by any means, plus she can said that she knows him.

Still, a visit to the station is probably in the works, and if Rin and Aoki gets thrown into the mix, there are more cans of worms waiting to be opened. In the heat of the moment, there's no telling if Aoki would say something inappropriate to add to Reiji's suspicions.

I'm more akin to feel that Reiji is most likely going to clean Mimi up a bit and then give her the whole "ms. fellow" talk and take her home.

Reiji isn't a bad person by any means just a little grief stricken and emo...

My personal misgivings aside, Reiji better pray for non-busybodies to see him and Mimi together. It doesn't take much misunderstanding to get him into the police station for talk over some tea/coffee.
