"The (baseball) player that went to America" which Kagami mentioned is former Seibu Lion Ace "Dice-K" Daisuke Matsuzaka. The "long game" which Miyuki was talking about, is the koshien (high school baseball) championship game which went 2-days long between Waseda Jitsugyo and Komadai Tomakomai in August 20th and 21st of 2006 with Waseda winning 4-3 (the game is tied 1-1 after 15 innings on the first day). The "handkerchief prince" that Tsukasa mentioned is Yuki Saito of Waseda Jitsugyo and now in Waseda University. He pitched in the 2-day game and hence his name is mentioned. That "one athlete got gold in figure skating", which Miyuki mentioned, is Shizuka Arakawa and she won Japan's lone medal at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.

Not conclusive. There are far too many "legendary" swords named Laevateinn to justify this as a MSLN A's reference. The original Laevateinn Sword comes from Norse Mythology in the first place.

It could also be a reference to KyoAni's earlier series, Kanon(2006), where the song was played multiple times.

Actually heck... Pachelbel's "Canon in D" is so common, it could reference to a LOT of things. Remember... the song is over 300 years old. NGE is hardly the first show to use it as a BGM.

Actually the Lævateinn is a reference to the new Armslave ARX-8 (codename: Lævateinn) which makes is Sousuke's new Armslave in the light novel Full Metal Panic Tsudou Make My Day.

The script of Lucky Star Episode 5 was guest written by Gatoh Shoji who is the author of the "Full Metal Panic" light novels. He and director Takemoto Yasuhiro are great friends whose friendship began when Kyoto Animation did "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu." Gatoh has written the script as a guest for Kyo-Ani previously, notably the "Day of Sagittarius" episode of Haruhi (Specific phrases that are used in Armslaves such as ECCM and bilaterals are said in that episode).

Gatoh is also known to be an avid player of MMORPGs. His handle name can also be seen in the episode as one of Konata's online friends.

No need to label this as a reference.
Shiraishi says that the word tsundere was born in 2002, which means that when Evangelion aired, there was not such a thing as "tsundere" yet.
As for what tsundere means, it's explained well enough in the episode itself, so I don't see why to think of it as a reference.
