Question Data DVD not readable

When I try to play my data DVD on my computer's DVD player it doesn't even acknowledge there is a disk in the drive 0_o. I have 29 epsiodes it is a 4.7 GB 4x speed. The DVD burner is 1/0 (I/O?) Magic. All the other same DVD's work. There seems to be a scratch does that prevent it form being readable? Should I take it in for repair? ^-^ someone help please

So are you using the same dvd drive you used to write it to view it?

Also conscerning the scratch depends how deep it is. Like is it very noticiable or do you have to hold it against a light to notice the small scratch.

I had a bootleg HK anime dvd do that. For some reason, I can't play it on my computer, my Sony dvd player, but I can play it on my parent's Sony dvd player. It's wierd, but my computer doesn't even acknowledge it.
