Has there been any more word on how to pick the main character's gender? I've heard several people say that they couldn't figure out how to make it a girl -- so are most of the ends with the boys non-romantic like Rivalz's end? Or is this actually part shounen-ai game?

Black Knights chapter, Kallen ending.

Spoiler:

Lelouch's Geass lost control, and Euphie is out to kill all Japanese.
Rai tries to stop her and got shot by her.
When she's making that announcement, Rai thinks, since my Geass already lost control, might as well give it a try since it can't get worse.
He used Geass on everyone to forget what Euphie said. For Euphie, it's to forget what Lelouch said.
Euphie faints. When she comes to, she's back to normal. (There's a screenshot of Suzaku holding her in his arms with Euphie looking up. This is the scene)
Rai walks to the back of the stage and falls unconscious.

The video clip is what happens after he wakes.

Kallen is anxiously waiting for him to wake, watching him in tears.
Kallen tells him Zero said Rai used some kind of magic to save the day. Were it not for him, it would be a disaster.
Rai tells her he's not able to use that "magic" again. Since he used it on so many people at a time, his power is gone.
Kallen says, "It doesn't matter. The thing that matters is you're alive."
Rai hugs Kallen, and kisses her.
♪ Mosaic Kakera ♪

Euphie announced the Special District Japan. And OotBK's participation in politics was admitted. Area 11 prospered for years.
The driving force behind it are the miraculous tactics of Zero. And by his side are the "Twin Guardians of the Order"- Kallen and Rai.

The End

The good end for Britannia Chapter is similar to this one. This is the only "normal" happy ending you can get in Lost Colors.
Ashford Chapter ending is also gloomy.
Blue Moon is more like fan-service & stupidity. XD


Black Knights chapter, Diethard ending.

Spoiler:

The first half is the same. Rai stopped Euphie's massacre, but his Geass remains and he still can't control it.

Rai decides to leave this country. Diethard follows him.
Rai: "why are you following me?"
Diethard: "Since Special District Japan is a success, it's a finished material. There's nothing more for me to film. Now I want to film you!"

So the two went on journey together. Happy End!

There's a Lelouch ending for Black Knights Chapter. But I haven't heard about it. It's way much easier to get the two above.

Now there is a good alternate scenario to that whole thing. I'd imagine Lelouch would be enternally grateful to Rai for stopping that whole thing. Makes me wish he had actually existed in the show and done that.

Of course, it doesn't seem like Lelouch succeeded in changing things that much since it is still called Area 11.

Hence why it would ultimately have been a failure, since it never expands beyond and only provides a small safe haven and paradise in a still rather desolate world, and eventually the memory of it would have faded in time.

I'd think Lelouch would still have ambitions to take care of things though. And there is still that contract to be taken care of. Then again, with Kallen taken that eliminates the biggest opposition to LelouchXC.C. so...

It is rather interesting that there are multiple Kallen paths for Rai, but no C.C. path, wouldn't you say?

Maybe it has absolutely no bearings on the anime, but then again, maybe it does.

No, no I don't think it could have been anything like that.

Sure, but that includes Kallen who was in love with Zero and they made it possible for her to fall for Rai. I was wondering what it would have been like to see a path for C.C. since I though it would at least determine it was possible for Lelouch to form something with her, but the fact that there isn't one at all is a good indicator that we will never see it happen at all.

How much input did Taniguchi have on the game? He may have made sure she didn't have a path at all which I think shows we aren't seeing any romance with her at all.

Or maybe he didn't want to reveal the nature of what Geass was, since we would go in dept to things like C.C's wish, her past, what the Emperor's ambitions were, the thought elevator and a LOT of other stuff.

Plus Lelouch doesn't fall with Rai either (Geass mislap doesn't count ) so that basically leaves a non-taken female and male with only each other. So I'll go with what ashlay said as well.

That could be avoided with the proper writing. The complete lack of anything is worriesome enough to me.

I like to know these things, that's all. The faster I can just confirm where we are going with all this the better. I remember being insanely fearfu during TTGL about Nia and Yoko. And it was completely obvious there. Even then, I still worried for things ending badly until episodes 26 and part of 27. And the moment I started hoping everything went wrong.

But she died. That doesn't make it seem like they actually ended up together for some reason. And there is a very good chance we'll see something like that happen just to give the ending that slight bittersweet note.
