I definately recommend Bottle Fairy. It's perfect for someone of that age.

Hmm... how about Detective Conan (Case Closed), Inuyasha, Prince of Tennis, and Slam Dunk? I know many young girls like them...

I'd say go for Angelic Layer. Perfect type of show for a girl in that age group. Plus there aren't too many episodes that it would be overwhelming.

I heard Wedding Peach is also supposed to be pretty good, but I think that series is a bit longer.

Hope that helps.

i agree with angelic layer i think altho its not much like naruto or one piece

if you want one thats sooo close to the same as one piece and naruto.

well mainly naruto but they have the same type of goal.

I strongly recommend you get her Hunter X Hunter

its amazing series, so much like naruto. Main character in hunter x hunter is the same voice as the naruto one.

She will definatly like hunter x hunter.... its got every type of char. There is not one part in it that puts the story down or feel like the writer has fell out of ideas. He just comes up with more and more.

Its an awsome anime.

Hunter X Hunter is prob the best anime you can get her and closest you can get to naruto.

IM a huge one piece and naruto fan however hunter x hunter surpringly took over both of them for me. I didnt think id get better than those two anime. I was really happy when i found hunter x hunter.

I second(or third) the recommendations of Inuyasha and Hunter x Hunter. Inuyasha is probably the better one for a gift for a girl since it's got nice romance in it. If you want a gift that can not possibly fail, go with sailor moon.

but sokar naruto and one piece has no romance in it and its her fav anime.

just cause shes a girl odesnt mean she would like girly animes. So if she likes naruto and one piece shes bound to like hunter x hunter either way.

Well, saying she likes naruto and one piece doesn't really reveal that much about her taste, since they are mainstream. I know plenty of people who "likes" naruto because everyone else likes it. As for sailor moon, I know I shouldn't generalize, but just about every girl I meet likes sailor moon around that age. Some do eventually outgrow it, but the vast majority love it and love it no matter how old they are. As I said, Sailor Moon = sure gift idea.

Any Ghibli movie would work. ^^:

An odd suggestion but I'd go with Kita-he ~Diamond Dust Drops~. It's a good wholesome and enjoyable series and I know my 12 year old cousin loves it, so I'm betting an eleven year old might too.

maybe Sailor Moon?

Why didn't anyone suggested Sailor Moon? Back when the earth was young and so was I, every 11 yrs old girl I know loves Sailor Moon .
It has the advantage of
1. lots of love elements (girls dig that) 2. many action without being too horrifying (think Eva) and 3. It is free!! (You don't have to drain your wallet to buy the dvd, all you need is cable/setallite TV XD )

If she is not a SM (no pun intended) fan, I suggest she trys In Search of Full Moon. Light hearted, full of hope and bunnies and what-else, while maintaining the seriousness and sadness when the plot calls for it, catchy song, and cute characters(for some, guys). I call this show "girls-killa"

HAHAHA I totally forgot about putting sailor moon. That is such a good anime for an 11 year old. But its really long, thats the only problem I see with it, she might not have time to see it all, and thats gonna be a lot of money . But I love sailor moon. One of the best.

While I've only seen four episodes of it - King of Bandit Jing would be my recommendation.

It's got a decent amount of action, kind of like Naruto and One Piece - although at 13 episodes, it's much shorter. And the guys don't look too shabby either...

Spoiler for Episode 3 and 4 spoilers-slash-fangirling:

Here's a review for the first disc at AnimeOnDVD.com. Enjoy!
