Sweet Rayleigh is going to teach Luffy how to use Haki. Like how they ended the ep with "We Are" it was nostalgic. Can't wait for next week!

Well, thus ends the entire first half of the One Piece series. Loved the way they wrapped it up with a new version of We Are!

This is a pretty monumental moment. I'm quite overjoyed.~

Next week is the beginning of the New World saga. First one very short arc for the crew to re-group and then it's off to Fishman Island!

Also looking forward to hearing We Go!~

^First half says who. Well yeah, they're in new world, but I doubt the series will end in another 514 episodes. If the popularity keeps rising, or at least, doesn't fall, they're gonna just keep making more and more and more.. Why end a good money source

Eiichiro Oda the creator of the series. He's said he already has in mind how he's going to end it, and that the New World saga is the final part of the tale.

Nothing lasts forever. Stretching a series out for the sake of income is never a good idea. Besides, Oda's rich enough already.

Even after 516 episodes, 'We Are' just never gets old.

Oda actually went on a 4 WEEK break after this.
However the anime won't go on break, meaning yes...timeskip next Saturday.

So we finally got to see Luffy, about time too.
Rayleigh got him to train to become stronger and obtain Haki.
Of course they had to put in some flashbacks..
Kinda interesting episode.

This episode was really great because it highlighted that Haki didn't just out of nowhere, but showed up in the story at many places over the years. Very impressive, only One Piece offers that kind of consistency.

Wait, if Raleigh mentions that everyone has the potential for Haki, does that mean that in the New World, everyone will be using Haki? If so, it might become overused for an ability that was so rare and unheard of (mostly) for the rest of the world.

Also, if Luffy is the one training to use the different forms of Haki, what about the rest of his crew? If they don't know Haki, they will be at an extreme disadvantage.

Since Raleigh, the first mate of Gol D. Rogers, has the Conqueror's (Emperor's) Haki, I am going to guess that Zoro will also possess it, if not Sanji as well.

Just because everyone has the potential to use it, doesn't mean everyone will. Remember that in the marines only Vice-Admirals and above are known to have Haki (with a few exceptions of course). Also during the war only a handful of pirates were seen using haki and those were WB captains.

It's Rayleigh. Rayleigh also mentions that while everyone has potential for Haki, it requires a lot of training, and normally 2 years wouldn't be enough. It only works because Luffy has great potential for it and already some experience with the Conqueror's Haki.

As for Luffy's other crew, they may be at disadvantage against Logia types but with their training they will be much stronger and they should be able to fare well others, even if it's a New World. Take Zoro for example.. he will be, if not as strong, at least nearly as strong as Mihawk.. and Mihawk does not use Haki. Anyway.. Not everyone there at the New World has a Logia type body... Who knows anyway what kind of new powers and skills they acquire there.. perhaps something to even damage Logia types.

About your last statement.. I don't get it. How is Rayleigh's Haki related to possibility of Zoro or Sanji having them when they're not related to Rayleigh or Gold roger in any way?

I am very surprised that the strongest swordsman in the world does not use at least one form of Haki. If he is supposed to fight on par with Shanks, then Mihawk needs to have some ability that would put him on even ground. It just does not make sense otherwise.

In many respects, Luffy and his crew has been compared with Gol D. Rogers and his crew, as well as Shank's crew. Since Luffy is supposed to possibly the heir as Pirate King to Gol D. Rogers, it would be probable that Luffy's first mate be as powerful as Gol D. Rogers' first mate. Hence, the possible correlation for either Zoro or Sanji (more likely Zoro) to also develop Conqueror's Haki later on in their journey.

In the same token, Luffy probably will develop Conqueror's Haki to incorporate it somehow with his fighting techniques, which I very much look forward to.
