I'd prefer Okiura's design more. Simply because his IS's design looks more Gundam-ish and realistic(somewhat) while CHOCO's seem a little surreal to me.

It's true, CHOCO's designs carry a sort of whimsy to them - as if this is occurring in a different time and place from Okiura's - almost as if IS is taking place in an offshoot world from the recent Final Fantasy games. Put bluntly, Okina's IS designs as well as people beat out CHOCO's on nearly all levels - except for the ladies that are over 20 years old. Squall's design looked awesome in the anime and of course, his rendition of Chifuyu-nee beats out Okina's. However, I do believe that if Okina did an update to Chifuyu, he might take the lead on that as well but as it stands, CHOCO's Chifuyu is superior.

And I want an IS with more hotblooded-ness, Ichika screaming the name of an attack at the top of his lungs when his fights, actual plot and the anime would have JAM project theme song. Nah, one can dream.

I also wish for expanded histories for the girls because their intros don't make me sympathize/empathize with them in any way when they fall in love 5 seconds flat in ONE episode. But one can only dream.

Well, so far the introduction of Madoka is probably the only thing that has piqued my interest in a long time for this series.

Any expectations I have for Ichika at this point is practically gone...

I think I've already mentioned before: there's bits where I prefer Okiura's artwork, and there's bits I prefer CHOCO's artwork. Mecha-wise, I'll go with Okiura. Character-wise, CHOCO seems to do better for characters like Cecilia and Charlotte.

My Japanese isn't all that grand by any stretch of the imagination, but having a look at his twitter account, and given his rather mood-swing orientated personality, it appears to be morbid something chronic.

Well, yes they did miss out the first 1/3 of Ch4. The bad news: even after this patch the fight STILL felt like it came out of nowhere -.- Just goes to show you can literally skip entire pages for IS series and nothing important would be lost.
