Ahh, if felt to me that a bunch of japanese guys wanted to use english words but didn't understand them very well. I guess I might be mistaken, especially since the whole unlimited blade works speech is not nearly as confusing, just sounds funny with a japanese accent =)

I do hold in the opinion that Bastards!! is horrible as a name.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is also just terribly misleading. Nevermind the lyrical part, to what 'mahou' is one really supposed to think about regarding the White Devil?

I don't really get what you're trying to say here. Not only is your grammar off, but the usage of "mahou" in the title is quite obvious. Quote:
Even "extent" and a second noun would require an object following the "about". |

魔法少女 (Mahou Shoujo) is literally "magic young girl", localized in English: "magical girl"

Moyashimon - When I first read it, I though that it would be some kind of digimon-like series, and I still don't quite know what the title means...
Sci-fi Harry - The series gives a perfectly fine explanation about the strange title, but it'll definitely look weird for someone who hasn't seen it. Golgo 13 - I think that speaks for itself. Tokyo Marble Chocolate - Okay, I get the Tokyo-part, but where do the marbles and the chocolate come from? Heroic Age - First, you're lead to believe that this series is about an age of heroes, but no: the main character is just called Age. Soul Link - This one just feels randomly thrown together at the last minute.

I flashed trough the biggest and one of the only Manga selling bookstores in sweden when I saw
NÄR I mean maybe it Ä looks really cool to some young children, but anyway. I dont know why but NÄR, and that its in sweden makes it such a joke becouse NÄR (När) means 'When' and it just dont make any sense Okay, this post was wrong looking deeper into it, its spelled with M, anyway I might not remember the title, but MÄR makes even less sense. I have no intention to revive bring this thread from dead but take a look on this site...
The Japanese folks take this discussion seriously! Since I don't understand Japanese, I hope someone else will translate that discussion just like how they translate this thread there... |
