Probably the best are ToE, Ys, and Breath of Fire III on the PSP IMO. Sad part is that ToE and BoF has to be imported since the only english version is only currently released in europe.

Phantasy Star portable is coming out this year
Official HP
The game will be coded by alfa systems, see Tales of World (PSP), Tales of Destiny 2 (PSP), Tales of Innocence(NDS) and Shikigami no Shiro Series. The screens on the HP leaves me to believe it actually looks much better then the original PS2 game. So will this game be sega's monster hunter?
Nevertheless, nice to see, that it isn't a direct port for sony's portable console ^^

With the ps2 slowly sqeezing its last few breath, i reckon we will see much more good games coming out on the psp this year.

Time to revive an old thread I suppose

With FF7:Crisis Core and I think Wild Arms: XF coming out in March (too lazy to check for accuracy at the moment for the latter), anyone got any suggestions on what other old PSP games there might be I'm missing out on?

I haven't bought any games since I bought my PSP immediately when I was soon reminded of Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness and FFT: War of the Lions (and they being released within the exact same month didn't exactly bode well with my eagerness to get a PSP already so it really drove me to finally buy one ).

I tried DJ Max Portable 2 and loved it and planning to buy it along with my wait on Tales of Rebirth to finally come out (as I never gotten around to playing it on the PS2). Still unsure about Tales of Destiny 2, really don't know why I haven't bothered with Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth yet and Jeanne D'Arc too.

So what am I missing for my PSP collection? Anyone have suggestions on where they personally like reading user reviews from?

Well it depends on your gaming test really. Patapon just recently released, and is addictive as hell. They've added a demo on PSN if you want to give it a go. Then of course, there's this game called God of War, unless you're not a fan.

Also, if you don't mind playing JPN imports(RPGs), then I'd recommend Star Ocean: First Departure and Second Evolution when it releases later in the year.

PSP-wise, I'm a DJ Max Portable 2 addict.
Also played the hell out of Disgaea.

Also finished Brave Story, which had some pretty good graphics.

Monster Hunter 2 Freedom was just too hard, so I quit =P

Gameplay is standard. Story is standard.
There are team attacks, but I think that's become standard too.
So, in my opinion, everything is standard except the graphics (which aren't at MH2:F level anyway).

I'd still recommend giving it a play though.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. So no one's going to mention Riviera or Generation of Chaos huh? I was thinking perhaps there's something I might be missing by solely following review scores and such of those games.

Oh.
If Riviera is a direct port from the Game Boy Advance, I can vouch.
It's a good game; I like the CGs.
Selene > all other chars =P

These next two weeks are going to awesome for the PSP. Patapon and God of War: Chains of Olympus are coming out, which should be some of the best games on the PSP to date.

It looks unique from what I've seen, and something totally rad that you would expect to be coming to the DS. In truth the only game I play on a consistant basis is Lumines, and I have a somewhat affinity with little puzzle games like that, so this is a must get for me.

There's a demo out for Patapon that you can get from the PC store. I haven't tried it yet, but the praise seems to be unanimous.

PSP's are great consoles.
Don't get me wrong I do like the DS but I don't understand how one could say that it is 'Better' than a PSP, But I would understand if they said that they liked it more..but to say that it is better is just silly. You cannot have MP3 Music, plug-in camera's, and Hentai on a DS, but you can on a PSP. ^_^

well agree with the above post, but gamewise, the ds has more games to offer although we still need to get the major titles, just played patapon and it's fun, but I imagine ds having more games like this... still frustrated I dont have a ds so I cant play zelda >_> should get one later on this year after I bought myself a ps3
anyway cant wait for god of war COO + FF7:Crisis core + I still need to play games like loco roco etc ^^

I really liked Riviera, my fav was that girl with the Green clothes and hair (sorry been quite awhile and I can't remember any of the girls names, hell, not even the guys, I think it starts with an "L")

I personally DO NOT recommend Generation of Chaos... Unless of course you don't mind the HUGE and ANNOYING load times... takes 2 secs to load every damn piece of text bubble in the game!!!

I'm currently waiting for and soon to get (in no specific order):

Wild Arms XF
God of War
FF7 Crisis Core
Papaton

I think there was a bit more but can't remember atm...
