Like I said, it's EXAM custom made for NTs. Fellow readers of the novel would agree with me.

You can't compare the two systems. They're completely different.

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

I always thought it was a burst of high performance. Doesn't the Destroy Mode need to recharge or something?

Not quite, it's just the the Destroy Mode is too much for most pilots to take for more than [whatever the time limit is]. Expanding the Newtype pilots... uh, power? awareness?... whatever is very taxing on their bodies

So, I guess it increases the Newtype pilot's capabilites? What does it do for the MS though?

NT Destroy mode is basically a Psycoframe capability that allows it to utterly destroy Newtype-piloted mobile suits. Its capabilities are radically different from Trans-AM.

Pretty much, yeah. Look up what happened to the Kshatriya for a really good example.

That's only part of the NT-D ability. In the quick translation of the explantion offered by Full Frontal :-

"After the machine detected it's enemy as a Newtype, it will remove it's limiter. Everything from control to weapon system will be taken over by the system and the Pilot will be rendered to just a unit to detect and recieve brainwaves to convert and boardcast them back to the enemy as a hostilities"

Yeah, I figured it was only one ability of the Destroy Mode. I haven't read the novel, so the Kshatriya's fate is the only example I know of the suit's capabilities since its listed on Wikipedia.

@Nosferatu: Not exactly. It has the same full body Psycoframe as the Unicorn, since the Sinaju was the testbed for it, but it doesn't have the Destroy Mode capabilities of the Unicorn, which if I'm not mistaken, is because of the Unicorn having the Laplace program.

Sinanju does not have NT-D in place. It's just a testbed for the full psychoframe framework.

The Machiavellian Full Frontal himself. UC is more about Politics rather than Hardware Performance now, kid.
