There is no SB2 thread yet so close to its air date? Oyakata-sama disapproves. The first season was good story-wise, but shined in animation (Production I.G!), crazy fight scenes and humor. Awesome BGM too.

Been shouting that to my fellow anime friends for the past few days now.

But yeah, I'm pretty hyped. To prepare myself for this season, I rewatched the first series last week so its events would still be fresh in my memory.

I have little knowledge of the games, but I hear Maeda Keiji is the main character in the second game, which this season is based on. Hopefully that'll mean more screentime for him? Dude was awesome and clearly shafted as far as screentime goes in the first season.

I also hope to see more of Chousokabe and Mori, that only got the special DVD only episode to shine and were fairly cool.

While I did like Keiji(hell don't think I didn't like any of the characters) I don't think he got shafted simply cause the screen time did go to the better characters i.e Date, YUKIMURA and OYAKATA-SAMA!

I won't mind if he gets more time this time but I'm hoping we get loads of the ones I liked the most in the 1st season.

Well unfortunately I can't hope for that, since my favorite character in season one, Akechi Mitsuhide, has very little chance of appearing again after what happened to his poor masochistical ass in the final episode. =/

But yeah, hopefully all the cool old faces will still get to shine here. There is no episode count confirmed as of yet I think, so let's hope for a 24 episode or so season this time.

And eh, Kasuga doesn't deserve Sasuke IMO. Way too tsun~ that one.

Yep, someone had to fill the role of Damsel in disstress and she filled that role perfectly.

Yea it's a real bummer we won't get to see Akechi, Oda or The Demon's Bride this time around, I wonder if we'll get the epic Oda music this time around again.

Should try re-watching the first season before the new one starts on Sunday. I also plan on picking up the dvd release of S1 in Sept.

As for favorite characters, its hard to say. There are a lot of fun ones, it would be difficult to single out anyone specifically for me.

Well I think I've found my favorite female of the series and maybe overall character but still hard to say there, the awesome Saika Magoichi from the game Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, voiced by Sayaka Ōhara

I'm already wanting a 3rd season just for her to show cause I doubt it will happen this season.

Thats hard to say since no one has seen 2nd season yet

but then 1st season didn't really have that deep a plot so I'd hazard a guess and say you would probably be ok.

altho I'd highly recommend you see the 1st season anyway cause it just rocks!
