Yeah needs lots of work. Ideas? And ideas for the incantation would be nice too. The spirits can only be summoned when Teresa, as one of the Naaru's Herald, is active on the field. Which means Kha has to be Fuzion'd into Fate first. Then, as the Herald, Teresa will call down her sisters, and their pet dragon Beathel. Preliminary armor designs looks good, though Skeith would be quite... unnerving to have around.


EDIT2: Forget Skeith. I've getting increasingly worried by what TotP is doing to The Cleric Begins! Blazer and Kha back then have a lot in common... Lost their family, lost their love, lost their comrades. And the training... It's giving me way too many ideas for Austin and Meister Chef's regimen.

Summons...

I had created a 'symbol creature' a few pages back, via summoning by means of Vulcan's Divine Form- the "Magun".

It's not completed, refined or even planned to place yet... as the mythical creatures of Mid/Belkan lore as still not being named or created...

This is the best I could do in a hurry, so it's pretty crude. I based it on a theory that in Belka, the "Christmas" equivalent was Sankt Kaiser's birthday, and hence the poem of her giving her limitless gifts to the children of her followers. It was during a time of great turmoil, when mothers had to work and fathers had to fight, leaving the kids alone and praying. Even now, let us remember the less fortunate, the children, as they continue to feel the brunt of this war-torn world, and give thanks to our friends, our family, and all that we have.

• Breaker:- Dedicated shield/barrier breaker turning Sleipnir's blade into energy.
• Ehrenjar:- Summoning a glowing ball before him he smashes it towards the foe with varying effects.
  • Single Shot:- Sends the shot in a straight line, powerfull and fast but easily avoided.
  • Homing Shot:- Shot homes in on a designated target. Expends 1 Catridge
  • Scatter Shot:- When struck the ball shatters peppering an area with multiple shots. Expends 1 Catridge
  • Imprisoning Shot:- A homing shot that creates a powerful bind if it hits the target. Expends 3 Cartridges
• Mirage Cloak:- Creates two or more copies of Beros to confuse enemies. Expends 2 Cartridges
• Ragnarok:- Devastating beam attack fired from Sleipnir's blade, causes tremendous amounts off damage. Initially expends 5 cartridges, more can be used to create customized effects.

Magic Type: A blend mostly of old Belkan with a few hints of the modern Mid Childan schools.

Mage Rank: Without limiters roughly A rank

Cartridge Capacity: Sleipnir can hold 10 cartridges when fully loaded. Beros always carries additional cartridges wih him.

Background:

Beros was born on a planet a great distance from Mid Childa by the name of Barbaroi, a desert planet with few settlements save for the vast capital the "Crystal City" a city spanning the length of most continents. His family was, for lack of a better description, average. His father worked for the TSAB's regional office on the planet as an archivist, while his mother was content to stay at home and look after domestic life. Beros grew up with his sister, attending school and studying like every other kid in the city. He bacame especially interested in the old Belkan magic and began a little at a time pushing out his other studies in order to learn more of the powerful if outdated Belkan. When Beros was fourteen a terrorist attack on the Crystal Cities TSAB headquaters killed his sister as well as seriously injuring his father. In a rage Beros set out into the desert after the terrorists armed with, the still experimental prototype weapon, Sleipnir which he and his father had been building.

For three days he chased through the wastes, unable to catch them, and now too far from home to turn back he eventually collapsed and blacked out. Sometime later he came round to find himself lying in the shadow of a strange woman he had never seen before. As an instant reaction he activated Sleipnir pushing himself from the sand in a rising arc, the blade aimed for the womans exposed torso. Sleipnir's basica form was that of a straight bladed sword, unlike the curved khopesh and scimitar swords of his world and was unique in so much as the entire length of hte blade was carved with runes, Sleipnir's core was located in an amber gemstone set in the crossguard. In a flash however the woman brought up her own blade parrying Sleipnir, he blade, a long straight, single bladed weapon was not too disimillar from his own.

Vaulting back he activated his Barrier Jacket for the first time taking in his opponent, she was older than him by some years, maybe in her mid twenties with pink tinged heir kept tidy in a ponytail. Her armour was not too different from his either, a long coat covering essentially civilian clothers with armoured boots and gauntlets.

Recalling his studies he summoned his Belkan emblem beneth him its amber glow totally outshined by the oppressive desert sun. Summoning wat strength he had left he commanded Sleipnir, saluting his opponent in the old Belkan way, he used his most unstable move Hyper Impulse, imediately he shot towards his foe, who merely saluted back.

It was over in an instant, he flew at her with all his strength, as he closed in her device expended a cartridge and wreathed itself in flames. At the moment he was about to connect she swatted him aside easily. He bounced once, hard, before coming to rest in one of the dunes a good fifty feet away. He looked up to see the woman walking towards him before he blacked out again.

When he awoke he was in a cell. Charged with assaulting a member of the TSAB as well as possible additional charges of terrorism. The trial lasted from 2 weeks before it was finally decided that he was not a member of the terrorist cell and that he had mistaken the TSAB operative for one of the terrorists when he had attacked her. The woman, he learned was named Signum, and had petitioned for the assault charges not to go to the courts.

As he left the court on the final day, Signum, who he now seen many times in the courthouse, met him outside, placing a firm hand on his shoulder simply said "You I like. Will you come with me?" he followed obediently where he was taken to a coastal facility where he was introduced to the legendary Nanoha Takamachi and Hayate Yagami. It seemed Section Six had been reborn but in a covert guise for some new mission. He was quickly introduced to his teamate Amalia, And his Sub Commander, a young appearing girl named Cinque. He was informed that his squad commander would be Signum and his team designation would be Flare 1.

That was five years ago...


*In case anyones wondering yes it is that Cinque, the cyborg with Rumble Detonator, in the campaign im running, to sum it up, Jail and the remaining numbers loyal to him escaped, and when the others, who by then had been released would not rejoin him, sent his new creations which ive dubbed Manequins(Think sinister looking dressmakers manakins with weapons) to attack them. In desperation they sought out Nanoha who, pulling some strings got the old Section Six back together except that they took in new recruits and Signum and Vita were given there own teams. The team my players are going to be assigned to is captained by Deici and seconded by Wendi, Ginga and Sister Schach have also been roped into the new section six and are subcommanding Lightning and Stars respectively*

Good start for your first OC here, with a nice skillset list here, like how the spells are quite simple, and not overly flashy. Though Sleipnir has lots of modes there

Signum as his commander and Cinque as sub? Nice teamup, now waiting to see who Amalia is.

And then lots of other things happened in the "need to write this now" front, and the adventures of Ivey and Rancer just got pushed back to "I'll get to it when I get to it".

I've rewritten the first chapter of their story eight times, and I'm still not satisfied (too much banter in too short a span of text). Methinks I just need to keep plugging away at it.

This may be asking far too much of the thread in general, but is anyone able to give a summary of everything that's happened recently which I might Need To Know About right now?

I just went through the last hundred pages. This is not a good thing to do when one is hopped up on painkillers.

My To Do list with regards to turning the 37th CIAA from a mere concept into an actual story is growing ever more, mainly because I simply don't know all the details of what happened in the later episodes of StrikerS; I didn't get a chance to watch any of the episodes after... 14? When Vivio was found by RF6. I'm hoping that I can just ask all the little niggly tech questions in here, or at least lob some ideas of what I want to do, and see what sticks.

Off the top of my head, I need to work out:

• The status of the Infinite Library
• The organizational structure of the Infinite Library
• Anything else to do with the Infinite Library
• Whether either of the magical impossibilities mentioned in MSLN, to bring a person back to life or to manipulate time, has been contradicted by canon
• Artificial Intelligences and their uses in canon
• The view of non-magical technology in the TSAB, with regards to weaponry, specifically with regards to Halley's Jammer Cannon (refresher: it's a shoulder-mounted tube which can fire a variety of payloads across a fair distance, like a rocket-propelled grenade launcher)
• Any further revelations about Al Hazard apart from what was in MSLN
• How travel works interdimensionally
• General TSAB organizational structure
• What the status of cyborgs are in the TSAB's view
• How magical blasts can reconcile with physical laws; more to the point, how they follow physical laws inconsistently

And that's just off the top of my head, without even delving deep into what I might have to come up with when writing.

Also, currently I seem to be having problems with Firefox. Weird problems: for example, if I try to read a post in http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=47208 (ie this thread), Firefox gives me http://showthread.php?t=47208, which obviously does not exist. So far this is happening with the AS forums, Livejournal, and Wikipedia, while sites like Photobucket and Youtube are perfectly fine, based on some empirical checks. All this means that until some kind soul tells me how to fix this, research (or thread participation, even) will be incredibly frustrating.

fortunately, the GDI does not use MS that much- only to elite units and special missions and such- MS are used by GDI 'Arbitrary' Forces, since they are special forces.

2. Hmm...Well...Zest was killed 8 years ago, then brought back to life as a Relic Weapon...I guess he counts
3. ...Devices? Nearly all the devices seen in StrikerS were intelligent to some degree.
4. The Cradle seems to be from Al Hazard, and so is Scaglietti...somehow
5. Uno, Tre and Sette are in the same facility as Scaglietti is, an Off-world High Security Prison. Due is dead and the remaining Numbers are in a Rehabilitation Facility, so they can learn how to fit into society. Ginga is teaching them that.

I was thinking more along the lines of administrative AIs, like HAL from 2001. I'm wondering whether it is plausible and not contradictory to canon that an AI might be put in charge of the Infinite Library.

The source of said AI, if possible, is a Lost Logia, but that can easily be changed to a more mundane origin, like generic programmers.

The Cradle seems to be from Al Hazard, and so is Scaglietti...somehow

So what do we already know about Al Hazard?

• It's legendary, but seen to be mythical and not actually existent, at least in this time frame
• It actually does exist, based on the presence of the Cradle
• It's a major source for powerful Lost Logia
• To get to it requires immense amounts of magical energy, and to get something out of it (like the Lost Logia) requires... what?

Assume that I know absolutely nothing about Al Hazard; repeating points I already know is preferable to neglecting to mention some important but obvious point which I am unaware of. Remember that I've not watched the later episodes of StrikerS, primarily because I'm technically not allowed to download them anymore.

Also, I keep seeing things about Saint Kings and such; what's up with that? Does it have, from the name, anything to do with Saint Church? (Remember that I can't Wiki it right now until I fix whatever the problem is with Firefox.)

Useful, but I'm more wondering what cyborgs are seen as in the TSAB and society in general. Are they complete freaks of nature, or are they just somewhat odd but not especially noteworthy? Are the Numbers (and the young Nakajimas) the only cyborgs in existence, or known to the TSAB? Do other cyborgs exist, and does the TSAB know about them? If some random person is revealed to be a cyborg, what would the reaction of the authorities be?

The reason I'm asking all these questions is because for my story, I need to establish the following as Not Contradicting Canon:

• The Infinite Library can be run by an AI, and this is routine and common knowledge
• Al Hazard is an actual place people can get into and come out of
• Nobody knows who runs Al Hazard or what it's like (and by "nobody knows", I mean that it's never stated, even indirectly, in canon)

There's plenty of other stuff which would be immensely useful to know, but aren't absolutely essential to the very existence of my fanfic.

Number 4 is debatable, it's not we ever knew if what Precia wanted to do could've ACTUALLY brought her there.

Rulers of Alhazred uses Project F technology to constantly revive themselves in a new body. That, and there's clearly some missing holes StrikerS never filled on Alhazred's connections.

Yes, it does, but a lot of it is just there for extra background stuff that doesn't really add to anything.

As for cyborgs, I'm fairly confident there's more cyborgs out there, since Nakajima's weren't Scaglietti's, and Jail leaked the papers on 'how to create a cyborg-able human', to the black market 25 years ago.

As for TSAB's cyborg outlooks... well, I don't think cyborgs are really all that huge of issues. They are freak of natures, but aside from cybernetic parts here and there, it's not like they can't function as a human, considering that they can give birth and eat normally. It'll probably be an ethical issue if it's leaked to the public on a wide-scale, but it does seem to be something kept under wraps since even if there are others out there, numbers are small and they're probably used as weapons.

The Saint King is Royal ruler of the Belkan Empire. Vivio has been revealed to be a clone of one some 300 years ago. They have also been revealed to be the source of inspiration for Jail's Experimental Relic Weapons since members of the royal family implanted into their bodies to grant them special abilities. In Vivio's case, or not, it is the Armour of the Saint King.

Useful, but I'm more wondering what cyborgs are seen as in the TSAB and society in general. Are they complete freaks of nature, or are they just somewhat odd but not especially noteworthy? Are the Numbers (and the young Nakajimas) the only cyborgs in existence, or known to the TSAB? Do other cyborgs exist, and does the TSAB know about them? If some random person is revealed to be a cyborg, what would the reaction of the authorities be?

Well not sure if it helps any but the Nakajima sisters have been revealed to be experimental cyborgs that preceeds the Numbers somewhat.

The reason I'm asking all these questions is because for my story, I need to establish the following as Not Contradicting Canon:

• The Infinite Library can be run by an AI, and this is routine and common knowledge
• Al Hazard is an actual place people can get into and come out of
• Nobody knows who runs Al Hazard or what it's like (and by "nobody knows", I mean that it's never stated, even indirectly, in canon)

There's plenty of other stuff which would be immensely useful to know, but aren't absolutely essential to the very existence of my fanfic.

Ideas that deal with some of the slightly obscure corners of the universe but worthy of the effort nonetheless. It's been pretty slow here lately so opinions from the others will be slightly slow.
