Twitter is micro-blogging web...
That means everyone can now write a short blog message.

And i thinks information moves faster in twitter than in facebook.
Love the application...

Yes.

But seriously... not everyone takes it as far as the likes of Ashton Kutcher and his annoying fans.

That's mine if anyone wants it, though I tend to be very inactive and when I do say something it tends to not be all that interesting.

Not really. But following various companies' Twitter makes it an excellent "RSS" feed, and not to mention they Tweet juicy stuff before posting it officially on websites.

I made a Twitter account so I could spam it several times a day instead of making twenty Facebook posts per day.

I mostly use Twitter for following feeds from Mikatan and Macross, and for premieres of new covers by NND singers. It's been a really good tool for keeping up with the current situation in Japan, too.

This is the image that a lot of people seem to have of Twitter, which is very far from the truth. It totally depends on who you follow.

I use twitter quite a bit - whether it's to broadcast the fact that I've uploaded another song onto my youtube account, or to see what banter shows up between sportspeople (major fan of football, cricket and F1) and other celebrities and figures.

My twitter account is in my signature.

When it comes right down to it, twitter allows people to 'feel' closer to the professional celebrities and sportspeople that they support (for one, I support Huddersfield Town football club and follow quite a few of the players that are on twitter - some of the banter between them is nothing short of hilarious. )

There're so many ways to use twitter : news, blogging and even writing novels...
When I subscribed 2 years ago, I didn't really know what it was and I eventually liked it. I enjoy twitter because it puts easily together many people and lets discover many people (I met interesting people on twitter).
Plus with internet browser add-ons (I use Echofon for Firefox) we have instantaneously news (faster than websites).
However I don't have permanently network and I don't have 3G, free wifi hotspots are lacking... so sometimes it's a pain to read dozens of tweets evenings.

It's a form of expression and correspondence.

Can be useful in some instances.

For me personally, there is only a small amount of people I keep in regular contact with to convey information so I use the phone or IM.

If I want to do something more organized, i'd probably start a blog.

Exactly.

I had that same viewpoint and I finally decided to start a Twitter (after some peer pressure from co-workers, LOL). I'm glad I did.

Here's mine: twitter.com/brianspeaksnow

Disclaimer: I tend to tweet a lot about sports.

Well, i categorized myself using twitter to 4 main purposes
- for reading headline news
- for new information on work (Oracle Inc. has twitter, many accounts in fact)
- for hobby (seiyuu, figure-maker, etc)
- for friends (tired of seeing emo wallpost on facebook)

So twitter is very useful to me...
And in some cases, news fly faster in twitter than on news site.

My twitter if you wanna follow (though i tend to tweets random junk)

Despite not being a poster, Twitter is still very useful to me. Being a sports fan in a small market area, the local sports beat writers use Twitter to link team updates with articles I probably wouldn't get on major sports networks, especially in the off-season.

And I follow my favorite musicians for sneak peaks, touring dates, status updates, etc.

Totally my reason of creating a twitter account. That's why I don't follow people that only tweet about what they ate for breakfast.
