We stand united in our detestment of them! It also doesn't hurt that every radio station in town has been playing nothing but Christmas songs for the past month... Quote:
It's currently about 8:30am on Christmas Eve as I write this and I've already been at work for about two and a half hours (meaning I've been awake since 4am). My day is shaping up to be a long one, there is no one currently in my office today (they all got the day off but I'm in catching up on work for a client) and the client's office is completely empty less one or two people (where I currently am). Atleast I'll get to spend Christmas with family, right? Wrong! In order to catch up and finish the work for the client, I'll probably be at work until about 10pm tonight. Because, despite it being a weekday, the city transit system is operating on Sunday/Holiday hours, major routes will only run until 8pm and shuttle/rural routes will only be running until 6pm. This means I'll have to take a taxi home and that won't be cheap, it'll be a $75 fare! (30km @ $2.50/km). But, alas, that is not the end of my woes. Despite getting to sleep-in on Christmas day, 6am - wee~, I'll need to be back at work for 8am, another $75 taxi fare since buses don't run on Christmas Day. >.>; I'll probably be at work until 8pm or so on Christmas Day, so not only will I miss out on Christmas dinner, it'll be another $75 taxi fare to get home. Forget the 'Merry Christmas,' I'm on the the 40th floor and all I want is a hunting rifle with a scope. -.- |

As for me I only got 6 hours of sleep and I've been playing Stepmania for the past 2 or so hours, or whenever the hell I got up. Hopefully I will sleep before I suffer from present temptation. :crossing fingers: Come on, new Calvin and Hobbes 10th Anniversary Book. My old one is basicaly ripped to shreads for age and now I need a new one. |

While she isn't here today, thank God, the lady in the office next to me likes to play her Bing Crosby Christmas album on repeat. The same CD everyday for weeks on end and if I turn on the radio to try and list to something else, all I get is Christmas carols through it. There's no jury in the world that would convict a person of murder if they'd been psychologically tortured with Christmas carols for several weeks, snapped and killed a couple dozen people, right? *unloads a few rounds at some annoying pigeons* |
