It's not a challenge, Gazille is in fact a double agent working for Makarov.

Gazille is following the order of the leader of Raven Tail, the son of Makarov and father of Luxus.

Luxus is not a true Dragon Slayers his father has put Thunder/Dragon Lacryma inside his body when he was little and want to take them back because those thing can be sold a good price. But if the Lacryma are removed then Luxus will die and Makarov don't want that.

Somehow, Luxus's daddy is much less... urgh, cool than what I imagine And it looks like he's pure evil, which makes no sense about his marriage with Luxus'mother at all. I hope we will be satisfied with the explanation for all this in the future.

i think the suspcious guy looking at Erza is mistgun.

That's quite strange, you know. AS it is, I think everyone all looks around for Luxus in the crowd, which make someone like Mistgun super easy to detect. But forget it.

Yeah, it's Mistgun. There's even his staff. May be I'm just overthinking things, but anyone without a stupid face in the crowd looks suspicious to me The guy in panel 2 page 8, for example
