[Manga] Official Romance in Naruto Thread

Hn I prefer...
SasuNaru or quite recently NaruSaku. In the end nobody has trumped Naruto's spot in Sasuke's rather narrow social sphere (with the exception of his brother...but that doesn't count) and I don't feel there's anything Sakura can do that would drive Sasuke to think of her as anything other than a team mate he cared for as a comrade. NaruSaku I like now mostly because they actually treat each other with an amount of respect that's suitable for one another. I can see them being very happy, but as Naruto was happiest when Sasuke around...and that brat was humane when Naruto was around...I'd still hope for SasuNaru over NaruSaku :/

SaiNaru makes me happy too but his screen time/panel time sort of flopped drastically.

KibaHina was an big fav of mine and I still think it's a better option than NaruHina which is just plain non-existent >_>
ShikaTema, though I do admit I have a sort of soft spot for ShikaIno as well :< *shot*

Oh, for purely aesthetic reasons I also like KakaSaku >A>; They're pretty when drawn together but I'll never argue for it.

I'll conform to that.

It's the cliche' "Oh well, Plan B," you see in some harems. In the anime world that gives it some credibility.

The fact that they're teammates and seem to have progressed about the same as Naruto and Sakura (hell, probably more so as there was no animosity between them to begin with) is an even greater testament.

I'd still hope for SasuNaru over NaruSaku :/

Kishi is the greatest tease of all time. If you look for it, he's constantly prodding at the idea of "alternate relationships" among his characters, it's practically a joke to him. I wouldn't put it past him to have his main character end up with another guy at the drop of a hat though, he'd get a good laugh out of our reactions especially among the Hinata/Sakura sympathizers.

From Sakura to Sasuke. Outside of "thank you," I don't remember really anything from Sasuke to Sakura.

SasuSaku has gotten to the point where Kishimoto will have to show some major writing skills to make this couple happen. Sakura doesn't seem to view Sasuke anymore as a love interest for obviously good reasons. And she doesn't even know yet that Sasuke was capturing jins, wore the robes of Akatsuki, and planning to attack Konoha. She would never want Sasuke back to Team 7 if she even knew one of these things.

Sasuke on the other hand has never been shown once thinking of Sakura. He only thought of Team 7 as a whole during the Killerbee fight. Meanwhile Karin continues to get closer and closer to Sasuke.

I don't get why people think that Sasusaku is a plausible ship. Sasuke never gave a damn about Sakura. He is a selfish and coldhearted bastard that only cares for himself. He will never love Sakura.

Recent manga chapters prove this is incorrect. So, SasuSaku is back on track .

Then again, at best I would be a SakuLee fan, so I could really care less about Sasuke's feelings for Sakura .

And, honestly, NaruSasu is more likely than SakuNaru/SakuSasu etc .

Before using Amaterasu, Sasuke had a short little introductory flashback to Team 7. So, Kishimoto is reintroducing the fact that Sasuke thinks about Team 7 (or has positive emotions ), which means that some time in the near future (100 chapters) when the Sasuke "hates" Konoha storyline is resolved (whatever the conclusion may be), a reconnection with Team 7 could occur leading to...something (then again, maybe Sasuke will be dead in a 100 chapters, meaning the relationship discussions wouldn't matter one way or another ).

Again, I never said it was a for-sure situation, I only said that the the possible relationships could be getting back on track. The current Sasuke is not the Sasuke from a 100 chapters ago, he has changed. Whether that change will lead him to a possible future with any character is unknown, but it is more likely now than it has been in the recent past.

I don't know if they'll put much emphasis on it in the manga (since Hinata's been absent the entire 60 or so chapters .. I'm not sure), but I think Kishimoto may refer to them getting together. Other than that .. you'll just have to find that pairing in fanfiction.

What I have to say is a big spoil. If you haven't gotten past season three, or know about Shippuden, then don't read. =/ It's sort of disappointing that a few folks don't seem to know what their talking about (I'm not pointing fingers, or accusing the one I'm quoting here).

Well... the "I'll feed you" scene between Naruto and Sakura gives an important hint about Sakura's feelings towards Naruto. Feeding someone is not just something you do for a friend of yours in the japanese culture.

Sasuke wasn't always coldhearted and selfish he did care for them.

Naw, best chance is NaruSaku or NaruHina. Sasuke is not in the village anymore so no chance. He has better chance with Karen or Kabuto.
