I just finished watching the episode. How tacky can Sunrise get? It's the exact same thing as the first episode, different details, but there are still soldiers killing themselves after Lulu commands them to with his Geass. I mean, COME ON, what was with that?

This episode could have been much better. I am so very disappointed by it. I'm glad I'll have something seemingly new to watch(Not if they make this season a complete and utter repeat of the first though). The only positive things about this episode were Kallen's bunny suit and the opening/ending themes.

To the idiot that gave me neg rep points on my earlier post about the Kallen bunny suit in this episode. Do you know what fan service is? Welcome to anime.

Right, avoid anything outside of the romance thread. And the opening could be interpreted as just partners, but who knows.

Kallen had her story moved to R2 so I doubt they'll do to her what they did in season 1. At least I hope not since she became a bit irritating.

I'll admit that the episode wasn't mindblowing or anything though I wasn't expecting that at all. The similarities to episode 1 were part of what put it down I felt. Some things felt like they could have happened faster as well.

Hopefully everything will go well from here to the end.

The opening is terrible

Maybe its because they actually did use it for a ton of commercials, but that is exactly the feeling I get when I hear it. Cheap overused commercial music.

The song itself ain't great either.

well, to me I think Kallen is developed a lot from last season. Her will is a lot stronger than the last season, nice mission oriented.
grrr... if she held in this well in ep 25, we might be able to skip turn 1 this season.

On what track her character will be developed this season I think its hinted in the OP when she is crying. It might be that she will soon find pain in fighting instead of one-dimension simple minded "ZERO IS GOD, Britannia are EVIL!!". I can imagine such development since she already learned that Zero is too a Britannia.

In anycase, I am looking forward to Geass related secret much more than her development, but we probably don't get those until episode 20 ish... so damit all..

Bah, Orange Range does a fine job. I admit, even I don't particularly like the part that appears in the commercials (the end), but as a package is just fine, a good piece of music that goes well with the animation.

...wonder if it's going to be changed to some new animation in 8.

nothing to do but see what happens. The undying faith to Zero only really came off as it did because they cut all her scenes (including the ones where she'd have expressed doubt) after episode 13.

But looking up to there and all the other characters development tracks, dealing with war in your own way does seem to be the basic development track for pretty much everyone in some way. >_>

The opening does blow. Even the Jinn OP2 was better. Get FLOW on the phone and hammer out a deal for R2 OP2!

ED (the song) was nice on its own, but I don't think it really matched up with the visuals.

i loved the opening, the ending is a bit meh... liked the drawings though

you can really see that they changed a bit in style when it comes to the episode as well, by that meaning the way everyone is drawn..
right now my biggest fear is budget just like in the first season but i think they'll be alright with it this time...
the Turn 1 theme was lame.. i liked it the way they did it in season oen better and i guess i didnt really like the new 3D animation they did in the geassing section.. the nerval strainds and then the change in will, i like the old one better in that cathegory as well...
the ending was a bit hasted IMO, byt hat meaning the quick Emperor, Suzaku part and the place they were in looked a little small.. with him being the Emperor i would expect him to meet his Knight of Rounds in some other place than that... that couldve been his broom closet from the views they used in that room even if it was bigger they couldve used better shots...

what i did like was the sequence in which he regained his memory though it was still a bit hasted..
the music was good all beside the turn one theme... though i still think they changed a little too much when it comes to musical style... but that is still hard to say because you only heard a few themes through out the episode
Lulu's back.. though i wasnt sure why but i wasnt as thrilled to see him again as Zero than i thought i would be...
maybe because his constant swinging the arms etc. i bet when i see the actual subbed one that i'll squeel at all scenes...
note to Rollo for driving well enough to not hit the middle curve thing on his bike.. bet that has a meaning =3

The song by Jinn was better? I have to disagree with this entirely. I like the opening song, though it isn't as good as COLORS was. The ending theme does seem pretty out of place though I do like the song itself.

Hmm, I suppose it is though it seems even more cheerful that that song. It may be the CLAMP images that make it seem odd.

Nice start. I personally loved it. And I loved it how Kallen used Lulu's own quote. It seems that she has changed quite a bit.

And now , it seems few people know who Zero is. I wonder how they will patch everything up, in the comming episodes that is. I am looking forward to it.

Hm.. I guess they are going to use a back tracking style of story telling to get to what happened at the end of last season.

Main questions to answer:
What happened to his memory?
How did the rebels know who he is and why are they still loyal to him.

Rebels? You mean the Black Knights?

Obviously they realized from ep 25 that without him ( and apparently over the one year span ) they suck.

Kallen ( most likely after Ougi got arrested ) Probably lead the rebellion and made them decide to find Lelouch. C.C. was never second in command - Ougi was second. Kallen most likely came in 3rd.

Memory loss is still unknown.
