Far from it. Umineko first arc starts like a cookie cutter locked island murder mystery, but as soon as episode 6-7 kick in, the real plot emerges.

(Not sure if I'm allowed to ask this here, hope this is ok^^")

that's a nice question, I've also been wondering about that, anyway I think the third one is probably Kinzo. At any rate, it isn't Battler.

It's probably Kinzo - he appeared in both the VN and the anime at the time she was talking about it in his study.

This was in EP 2 after Kanon rejected Jessica. Plus how can she sow seeds of love in Eva and Hideyoshi if they've been married to each other for 20+ years

It's not like Kinzo's love was more recent 'though, quite the contrary XD. But the problem is that if it was Hideyoshi and Eva then why not Kyrie and Rudolf, Asumu and Rudolf and Natsuhi and Krauss?

I think Beatrice didn't have anything to do with them, while in Kinzo's case, well... obviously she has something to do with it XD. Plus Beatrice in that instance is only interested in "unattainable" loves.

Well seriously personally, I think that "3 seed of love" means that 3 people have fallen in love, and not that 3 couples have been formed. So Kanon, who said that he hasn't fallen in love, wasn't counted.
But it is just my opinion...

Kumasawa is totally obsessed with mackerels, she brings them up all the time regardless of the situation if she gets to state her opinion. All her jokes are about those cursed fish too

So far I haven't seen anything, although I probably don't check all the places I should. Anyway I think someone would have said something if anything was revealed.

Omigosh I LOVE Harpers Island! *cough* Sorry, off topic.

Anyway, is there anyone that can safely be ruled out as a suspect as of the latest episode? When the 6 bodies in the church were discovered, Beatrice said something along the lines of "Now you can rule these people out." But can they really be ruled out?

Unless it was the world's most messed-up suicide pact, I _think_ the dead folks are above suspicion, and normally should be considered innocent of any murders past the point at which they died.

On the other hand, Kanon.
