Funny though, before that scene, Charl asked if Rin ever thought of giving up, and then she ask how was his and Laura's relationship develop. My Sis noted it sounded like two people having a decent amount of UST, ugh.

I'm kind of afraid giving a wrong pair better chemistry, Romance never been my best part (my Nanoha fic, frankly, SUCK) even though it's my appeal.

Speaking of which Tatenashi knew Capoeira right? What else she knew?

Odd that it was Ichika who never learn any martial arts except Shinonono-style Kenjutsu. This was the reason of his defeat by Laura, and later, stopped on track by Charl. Because of his extreme physical prowess, he can fought normal delinquents with his fist only, well trained martial artist is another story.

Shinonono have unarmed combat style? Well, I supposed to have that in the fanon, but I don't know about Canon part.

Please tell if you find anything about it.

Basically:
Rookie Martial artist < Street Brawler < Experienced Martial Artist

Rookie martial artist almost always hesitate and awkward in applying their knowledge, their performance is lower when it comes to real fight intended to hurt each other (not sparring), so Street brawler will easily defeat them. In contrast, experienced martial artist knew how to fight an unskilled brawler so they win.

Yes, he mentioned it while fighting Tatenashi in V5.

He said that they taught him hand-to-hand combat in case he's in a situation without his sword.

Well something like that.

So to recap, most of Tatenashi's fighting is based on using her legs or grapples?

From what I remember, yes, aerobatics and kick.

Chapter 13 summed up as

"Oh, you see, our goofy hothead can curbstomp you with one punch. Also, his sidekick's long legs aren't for show. Oh, and the black haired girl? She can whip your head with air gun, and then some. You got the helpless red haired chick? Fanged Chinese girl will get you with flurry of blows, and that purple haired chick? heaven help if you in the wrong end of her throw. Ah, there's that busty kendo champion, obviously you're screwed. That short, bishie gaijin? He flip you with one hand. That meek nerd with small body? He follow Bruce lee's regiment. That blond chick with curly hair, she looks weak right? RIGHT? good luck catching her"

Sort of, I also remember her doing a palm strike which instantly downed Ichika.
