Stain's last stand is one of my favorite moments in this series. I loved that even Endeavor was shaken and Deku's words that, even though they won, it was Stain who remained on his feet while the kids, and even one of the pros, lost their footing because of Stain sheer bloodlust and intensity.
The visual in this episode were on point. |

Endeavor's fight was awesome, and I really want a copy of that piece of music that started playing when he entered the battle. Sounded like the My Hero Academia theme, but with vocals.
I've been sitting here trying to figure out how to express what I feel about Stain, and going through different things in my head for the last 20 mintes or so. None of it comes out quite right. He is evil, yet impressive in his own way. His ideal and his dedication to it, while simplistic, is in some way worthy of respect, even though his method of pursuing it is inexcusable.

And here we have yet another moment to remind you what makes shounen manga awesome, as well as its adaptations, if done well. Honestly, my main moment of hype was seeing Deku, lida and Todoroki triple teaming Stain, that final bit was indeed strong, and a show of the story itself going Plus Ultra: You ALWAYS hear about strenght of presence in anime and manga, not just the shounen variety, but its rarely played as literal and ominous as it did here (Last time for me was the final villain in the Neuro manga), and that most definetly makes you stand out from the crowd.

I think there was probably a "Wild West" period where you had those "heroes with no names" or "lone rangers" who acted as superheroes but didn't really wish to have the recognition and who wanted to stay out of the limelight. They probably got pushed into legend and lost in the shuffle once everything else began to get more legitimized and main stream. It also would explain one of the reasons he only taught UA for one year. UA only hires pro-heroes so I think he wasn't just a sidekick and did eventually become a full hero. But I think perhaps the new society and what happened with the 7th holder, he retired after All Might's first year.

That's where I saw it from before! I should have known better given I'm writing a crossover fic between the two.
Anyway, review is out. I liked it a lot. Iida got his crap together, the Nomus are taken care of (though Endeavor practically nuked that big one's head) and Stain's reaction plus the missing nose leaves me to think he's got something to do with that. Quote:
Welcome comrade, to the world of interesting and complex villains that My Hero offers. That feeling will haunt you for some time. Edit: Awesome pic below

The only thing that prevented Stain being fried to a crisp at a long distance was Deku.

You know, ironically this reminds me of All Might's last stand at the end of season one- where All Might was running on fumes and he had to rely on a bluff to stall the villains. Though I think Stain was fully willing to take on all of them. He probably wouldn't have won, but given his speed and his skill, he still would have lasted a bit.
Stain's crazy but he has his standards- insane standards but funny enough he has judged Deku worthy too. So Deku's been deemed worthy by All Might, Stain and (most likely) Gran Torino while drawing Shigaraki's hatred... Deku's doing pretty well so far. |

Endeavor was scared of Stain's bloodlust too. Honestly, if his lung hadn't been punctured, I think Stain might have escaped and took out a few of them along the way.

Goddamn that episode was great, outdid the manga version. Iida's recipro's were freaking impressive, kicked the shit out of Stain so hard he sent a rib into his lunges.
I've always been a Iida fan but this episode made me an Endeavor with just how sheer badass he is

Well, new episode's out. Damn, this world's Quirk control laws are even stricter than I'd have thought. Basically, it's illegal to use them even in self-defence, when risking one's life? I would understand punishing Iida - he definitely went in way over his head - but it's not like the other kids had much choice.
