Strange. Basara's Banishing Lift could annihilate magic and physical matter, yet that sword was unscathed.

It is probably explained in volume 3. I think everyone wants to read that volume and skip volume 2 if they could right now, but for other reasons.

No.

PROzess is translating the series, so there's no need. Besides, whether I like a story or not, whether it has objective quality or not, spoiling is one of the rudest things you can do to the author since it will never appropriately portray his/her work. And in my personal opinion, it's one of the rudest things you can do to the fans, too, since it will also ruin their experiencing the book for the first time.

You could you just tell us if we're close to the end game? A simple yes or no. Maybe it's because I'm a veteran, but the plot doesn't look too complicated so I can't really imagine this going on for more than 5 volumes tops.

I guess...

The plot is so thin, every loose end could be tied off in the next volume (5, btw) and it's over, sure. I still believe the author is trying for a mid- to long-running series. No proper endgame in sight.

^Not yet as of the moment.

BTW, if anyone has seen the first few pages of Ch 10 raw of the manga, all I can say is that Basara is receiving the greatest medical treatment in his life.....

Spoiler for and that is:

And he didn't even get smacked for it, either.

There is no justice in this world.

New chapter is out. Quite sad, and tensions are rising up. Though I have to say, Yuki's sister have one sided feelings about the situation of Yuki and Toujou.

If you men the old him was stronger than he is now, then yes. Not only was he faster, he could completely control <Banishing Shift>

He hasn't been training for a very long time, so he's very out of practice. So yes his current strength level is way down compared to his previous self.

Pick up an instrument, get really really good at it, drop it for ten years, and then try playing again.

Now, its a waiting game to see how the battle turns out.

I do wonder though, talk about timing. The elders of the Heroes decide to assassinate Mio at the same time when Jin is not around. Think they are avoiding confrontation against him?

I am mostly annoyed at how the Heroes are written.

It appears that they have been bouncing the idiot ball in their hands. Lets just kill Jin's only son and his adopted daughter. Jin who was the most powerful and broken hero in the last war and was one of the reasons they got any length of peace with the last Demon Lord.

Then lets go kill the daughter of the Demon Lord or wished for and got peace in the past, nearly guaranteeing that any demon civil war would be caught short as both sides would have a reason to unite against the now aggressive heroes.

Trigger off the next major war, piss off one of the major players in the last war and do so in a way that kills off his family. No chance of him then of either going for revenge on the elders for wiping out his family, blowing the whole masquerade that the heroes use to hide from the common people or the best result is that he says a pox on both sides and becomes a hermit.

I'll still happily read it, just wish they were not grabbing hold of the idiot ball so quickly.
